20k is affordable by the time you come across it.
It's kinda hilarious how the tooltip for Nightmare warns about how little gold there is but the game gives you tens of thousands of gold anyway.

slayernz - remember that past level 3, Sacrifice costs 2 AP a cast. I didn't realise this - I hadn't planned on going up beyond level 2 cos of the high return, and now I almost certainly wont. With level 2, you can dish out max 350SP for a cost of 210SP (67% ROI) You don't get past this amount again until you get to Level 7 where you can give out 408SP for a cost of 240SP (70%ROI) Yes, you consume more AP if you have to dish out multiple sacrifice casts, but then if you're organized, you can top up the SP levels during non-combat, and very seldom will a single battle require you to have to recharge.

I don't believe fallen will Nerf Sacrifice ... you still have to invest in Sacrifice as it is, not to mention having to invest in Lore over many other attributes. It's effectively relegating Kyera to a healer role until she can gain more levels to boost her combative attributes and skills. Cats have great balance - and I think that Sacrifice is almost perfectly balanced, if not a bit weak when you get to higher Sacrifice levels. I almost want to boost the ability to give some healing as well when you get to higher Sacrifice levels (maybe you give some of Kyera's HP to another player as well as SP THAT would be the true sacrifice

I almost want to boost the ability to give some healing as well when you get to higher Sacrifice levels (maybe you give some of Kyera's HP to another player as well as SP THAT would be the true sacrifice I would like to see Sacrifice have a lower cost-to-give ration (give more SP per SP spent) however I DON'T THINK it's unbalanced. The talent isn't designed to replace camping or potions but as a way to use the Cleric's SP to aid other characters. In modes that have reduced gold and fewer potions, the talent is a crucial way to keep powering SP intensive attacks or to give enough SP to make it through a fight without using a potion. It's a great talent when your Cleric isn't in a position to attack but you don't want to move her (i.e. give up a defensive position). I use Ethereal Anguish in the same "hey, I have AP left, let's find a use for it." I think there's more gold and potions in Nightmare than when the game was initially released so there may be less of a benefit to using the talent. In Normal mode, modest planning and clearing areas will result in a surplus of gold and potions making Sacrifice seem useless. Way spend SP and AP to give SP when a character could use 1 AP and get 400 SP from a potion? My Cleric is in a flank-guard build--built around defensive fighting abilities. It let's her take quite a few blows, deal decent damage (even with Lvl 1 Smiting Blow).
