Ok, what exactly does intimidation do for you when you click on it during the search for loot phase after combat?
How is stealth exit supposed to work exactly? Do you get less heat and rep loss if you dont loot the bodies and sneak away stealthily?
Also do Attributes and Abilities and Skills work like in Shadowrun 4.0?
I would like to see somewhere in game where different skills are explained in a bit more detail so I can determine exactly how I want to raise my skills.

Drew good questions: 1) Intimidate is (we believe) supposed to reduce your heat if you have looted. 2) Stealth exit is supposed to produce less heat than looting and exiting. 3) Cory is working on this. Also I might like to add, that maybe just maybe we might now need a FAQ going / wiki.

This is one of those odd nebulous things everyone wants ironed out. Due to the fluctuations in out heat/rep I am guessing this is one of those weird spots that need a closer look. But moody is correct, that's how we believe it is supposed to work. With that said Cory is working on making it all more transparent and less like we're solving for Edward Nigma.

I am the current owner of the CK help files. If you have read them and have additional suggestions of content that should go in there, I am happy to crank it out!

fallen How about decent descriptions of what the different attributes and skills do/affect? You could also note next to any that aren't fully implemented yet that they are in progress or something. I have a pretty good idea what they all do in general. However, I don't know specifically which attribute/skill is increasing my combat movement, AP, chance to Escape, etc.

Also, use intimidate before or after looting?

What about the idea of being able to use Intimidation to *avoid* fights?? That way one doesn't allways have to use stealth/evade to avoid combats with "friendlies" (those in zones which you wish to have good rep/ low heat). High Rep would provide a bonus. Good rep would provide more bonus( think" whoa! thats the hometown hero, no reason to mess with that guy.) and bad less bonus( think " drek! tha guy's waving around the head of our boss, not sure if we can take him...).

raineman -- as we go the number of non-combat options will expand. like with star traders, the system of "acknowledge" was added as we went. right now, once you get into combat (intimidation, stealth and athletics being the skills used now to avoid combat) the only way is to fight or flee. we will be building a rich selection of options, both social / reputation, skill and special ability. features like 'moves' and 'skill specialization' will do wonders to expand this. we are working hard to get the setting, core mechanics and game balance / user experience worked out before we start expanding.

The old proverb of building your home on stone comes to mind.
