How does this option work? I've just lost my captain on Hard with Permadeath turned off. He was able to survive any damage done to the ship, but when captain's health decreased to 0 (in a duel) - he just died. Game Over.
If it's a bug - please move this thread to the Bug Reports.
If it's not - please explain me how does this option work.

I move to bug reports -- but wasn't able to reproduce in a duel with 0 HP and permadeath turned off.

Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) with Android 4.1.2
I'm pretty sure I turned off the permadeath. Unfortunately it's impossible to check whether it's turned on or off after game is started.
I've just started a new game on Hard and this time permadeath is definitely turned off. I'll report Game Over if it'll happen again.
