Map layers overlap

On the world map:

If you check "Empires" and than "Ships", the ship icon is on the top:



But if you first check "Ships" and then "Empires", the Empires layer is on the top hiding ship icon:



BTW - why is that checkbox labeled "Ships", if you can own at least one ship at the same time?

This is just how that type of Android drawing works -- in our later games you'll see we stopped using Android system drawing and built our own engine based on Cocos2d-x and this is one of the reasons we elected to do that.

The button is labeled 'Ships' to support future updates and features. We had really high hopes for Age of Pirates, but we weren't able to do as much with it as we wanted to. Ships is an indicator of things to come.
