Excited to see another piece of the original design document now in code and released to Heroes of Steel. Finally, the text in the attribute screen telling you that Willpower helps resist any curses (there since day 1) is true. Thanks to all for the feedback, keep sharing.

Will the new Willpower effects work both ways eventually? ie. will monsters now begin to have resistance to curses?
I would imagine that would cause some significant consternation within the community...

Very nice update. Thanks.
I have a feeling the appearance of the ability to resist curses coming out before episode 3 is no coincidence.
It'd be cool to show the percent chance of resisting curses on each character's stats screen.
Since Resistance is currently used to refer to soak for magical attacks, I wonder if it would be better to use another word to describe the curse avoidance stat. Maybe it should be referred to as the a chance to "avoid" or "elude" a curse.

tenbsmith - if you check the stats screen you'll see "Will 5 (25%)" etc. The next release will update the Attributes leveling screen to be very specific about the % of resist you get per increase.

fallen, ha, ha, you guys are way ahead of me. Playing on Hard I get a 4% multiplier. I suppose Normal gets 5% and Nightmare 3%, not sure about Brutal. Does the Auto-block aspect of Phalanx Shield apply to curses as well as attacks? One thing's for sure, my interest in spending points on Willpower just increased, though maybe just a little bit. And, maybe that's something I'll hold off on until Episode 2.

tenbsmith - 5% (easy, normal), 4% (hard, brutal), 3% (nightmare) Phalanx Shield has no effect on curses, as the rules before.

Although I'm very happy for those on Amazon, something strange is going on. It use to take a few days, now they have it out in less than 24 hours? They're up to something! Protect the Queen!
