That and...this is no slight towards your brother in any way...graphics are not everything. Without good, solid, game play, a game is just a hollow artwork. Many of the big AAA titles out there just have no...SOUL!

The old BBS game "LOD: Land of Devistation" might make a nice project. As I understand it, this piece of software was formally abandoned by the author. (ie; no copyright issues)
FidoNet... Those were the days. Anyone remember the Echo named "Wunderment"? I was "Monsterdog" in that era.

I definitely agree with Moody, I love this game, artwork included.
That said, I would LOVE to help you guys in the graphics department if your brother ever wants a break from it or another person to help with all that art. I'm working on my illustration credentials as we speak so I'd love the chance to learn from an established game artist/designer too!

Monkeyrogue, I remember FidoNet well indeed, though I was on Blue Wave.
I never played LOD, but I did play L.O.R.D., loved it. Also really liked Operation Overkill.
Moody has a great point about artwork, my favorite games growing up were Rogue, Moria, and Omega, which had no graphics fancier than ASCII text. Zork had no artwork at all, loved it. Even Starflight...
Oh man, if Trese Bros ever made a Starflight/Starcon2/Ironseed type game, I'd cry literal tears of joy, though ST does a pretty damn good job of slaking the thirst for those old school space RPGs.
Speaking of... like Evan, I would be willing to chip in if you like, Cory. I'm an amateur author, I write as a hobby. I've done screenplays, stage plays, novels, etc. I've written a Cyberpunk triliogy, and am in the Process of writing a Space Opera in a setting inspired by, but not copying, Master of Orion and Starcon 1. So if you'd like some assistance with the writing, storyline, etc, let me know. I've got a full time job, a family, and am going to school nights, so I can't do it full time, but I'd be happy to help as a freelance.
