I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart. I'm a huge fan of Gibson, Zelazny, Burroughs, et al. I've been searching for a Cyberpunk/Shadowrun type RPG. I loved BloodNet, and had high hopes (though dashed) for Neocron II and for the Shadowrun X-Box game (the former was just disappointing, the latter was epic fail), but really haven't found anything Cyberpunkish in the last 5-10 years that wasn't just an FPS with futuristic skins. So this game is incredibly exciting for me to find.

It has been too long. I recall the glory days of Syndicate, Cyberpunk and SEGA/SNES Shadowrun.
That X-Box game as a travesty against the entire Shadowrun universe.
PS: The Staff is my brother, Andrew. He makes the artwork and I do the design / coding (for the most part.)
We also have 2 engineering Beagles, who provide morale support during difficulty times (and bark at intruders.)

Well, I really like Star Traders (it's kind of like a much more intricate version of TradeWars 2000 (back in the BBS days), or "Space Bucks," or "Gazillion," and yet another one of those odd niche games where I was desperate to find a game like it, and yours fit the bill exactly. It's like y'all have a back door to my head and see the games I miss the most, then program a better version of it that I can play on my phone. Well done!
If y'all end up making a TankWar/Scorched Earth type game next, I'll just have to start buying stock in your company.

Oh man the nostalgia of Syndicate, let's never recall the travisty that was Syndicate Wars. I always seemed to compare ST to Pirates! Has a similar feel to it, only in space. I must admit that since playing CK I've really not played much ST, just not had the time. God help me when Steel lands.

Based on the content of our next game, you might want to buy stocks in Leviathan Armor. But... I should be quite, or I will get accused of insider trading!

Speaking of stocks....and I promise I won't detract from the original intent of the topic! Would be nice to be able to buy stocks in companies, then do jobs against rivals to boost values. Kept it short as I'll post the rest in features. What's this about Leviathan Armor? Does this come from praying to the team, and who do I have to sacrifice?

Moody -- What an excellent idea. I will make sure that it is added following Conflict and Rumors. Faction interplay is far more sophisticated in CK than ST and a stock market is well within reach.

Does it get old hearing precisely same things from multiple people?

Heh, which part? I thought I was the only dinosaur old enough to remember TradeWars 2000.

@thexlibra No mate you are not the only one. My guess is that quite a few of us here go back a fair bit when it comes to games. For a trip down memory lane try www.abandonia.com/en

So does that mean we can expect a version of Empire/Barren Realms Elite/Solar Realms Elite from the Trese Bros? Perhaps Leech/PimpWars?

Oh I did love Solar Realms ever so much ... monkeyrogue I was thinking about your question and had a few additional thoughts. A lot of the compliments and encouragement posted on the board can contains some similar themes: - You are the first developer making old school RPGs I found
- You are making games similar to games I already love
- You respond when we report problems with your game
- You make games that work pretty well on my phone
So my "invincible strategy" for being an Android developer? Answer your e-mails, read your forum, release fixes for problems and make sure that you take inspiration from games that do not suck. Remember to support low end phones and don't get greedy. * * * One thing that I remind myself about every day -- none of those things are really unique. We don't have some world class 3D programmer or an art team with big name credentials. People are not writing to me saying that Trese Brothers is doing something incredibly unique or technically impressive. They just say we're doing common sense things in a way that is consistent, accessible and low cost. So, in many ways, we need the consistent feedback to measure our progress and reassure ourselves that we're still in touch with the plan.

Cory, that's the bottom line of almost every successful small business ever: do something consistently well, accessible, at low cost, and which people already want but have trouble obtaining. Throw in great customer service and you've got a future software empire on your hands.

And if you decide to begin expanding, keep my email handy. Seriously, it's surprising how many "corporate" names forget how to be a customer. But most of it is investor pressure I am guessing. Richard Garriot started out with high quality 2d/text games. The new tech is just giving many of us a new beginning that we may have missed the first time around. thetxlibra, I have been monkeyrogue since FidoNet, if that tells you anything. Granted, I was a child prodigy, but I am old enough to say I was there. My first droid app will be a take on Red Dragon most likely.
