Is there any way we can have a list of numbers and other symbols when text options come up? I'm a fan of Roman numerals and all, but sometimes you just can't replace old fashioned numbers. Consider this a request for all the other games, as well, as I would also love this for HoS, etc...
(I'm trying this on a new browser, so if the text looks funny, I'll do what I can to fix it, I'm not shouting, lol)

I happen to agree with this ;>
I would like to number some ships in a fleet, and occasionally colonies. Not to mention that I would love to be able to use numbers and semicolons in names. Since the default name is the date, a number pad should be a feasible option to add in. A quick screen change with a button implementation doesn't seem like a hard stretch to put in.
However, this is not as important as bug fixes, as it is mostly cosmetic.

Adding numbers to the in-game keyboard is already on the roadmap, #4X-2474

Slightly off topic, but sometimes the keyboard stays capital until you switch it to lower case and sometimes it switches to lower case automatically after every capital letter.
I make my ship names all capital so they jump out at me in the Events list

HTC one latest everything. Shift acts as a caps lock. I will try to figure it out. I assume you mean the on-screen keyboard, not a bluetooth one? PC shift key should work the same was, but since it has a press-release handler, combining it with the touch screen on gives a bit of an odd result sometimes.

Cory Trese Just out of curiosity why do you use an in game keyboard for android instead of the devices default keyboard?

Cory Trese Just out of curiosity why do you use an in game keyboard for android instead of the devices default keyboard? For technical reasons the device's default keyboard isn't a good option. Perhaps in the future Android's keyboard integration with the NDK will improve to the point where it is usable.

Cory Trese thanks, sounds like they are forcing you to basically reinvent the wheel everytime so to speak. I'm not up on software and hardware at all but had thought the keyboard function on android devices would have been integrated with the operating system at a fairly low level...learn something new every day

Same here, thought it was supposed to stay caps. I like it better that way too since I always keep ship names capitals

Ticket #2879 4X - RFE - Caps Lock for Mobile?
I will look into it, see if this is possible. Cannot make any promises, don't want to spend a week rebuilding the keyboard if I can help it.

I've been meaning to ask to add numbers also. "Heavy Carrier 2000" looks so much better than "Heavy Carrier MM"
