Maybe the drones should start with a DV of about 250 to start with (how likely is a drone to learn like an organic creature) and have modifications such as an improved AI (maybe implementation of a human/hund brain in the drone?) With a negative dv to allow experience gain.

crackshotcerberus - the idea of 250 DV is interesting. Our current plan is that they would start at 300 DV and never gain XP and that any improvements would have to be monetarily driven, and all about which components you want to install into their limited cybernetic slots.

Fallen - I can definitely see the 300DV at start... but what about a learning hack or an AI chip (for mucho mucho yen) that would lower the DV?
Edit in retrospect...
...Actually... I guess it'd amount to pretty much the same thing functionally; tweaks after earnings (be they yen or XP)
