SPOILERS: Choices and Motivation

With the release of EP 3, v3.1.1, there are several major in-game choices the player must make from supporting a Baron to killing a God. I'm curious to see what is motivating each player's selection. Is it desire to maximize XP, gold and item collection? Desire to see all available options? Are you role playing in your character's personality?


Note: While I'm trying to make the most "just" choices in the game, I realize some of my choices are based on arbitrary liking or disliking NPC's.

For example, I went to the City of the Dead under the Braey's Family Banner party because they seemed the more level headed and just of the two sides, but also because I didn't like the Koda brat. Sure he got kidnapped and he WAS RIGHT about who was involved, but for a lack of a better word, he annoyed me, thus I voted against his family.

Note: How does one tell the Koda family: "Hey, we let your kidnapper escape, destroyed half-your town AND we're going to work for your rival in the City of the Dead. We cool, bro?"

I like to role-play my characters, but I also play based on my emotions.

Whilst playing through The Walking Dead Season 2, I made some pretty horrific choices because I was angry and I wanted revenge. So, I guess I play on my emotions. Sometimes you have to be strong and make a decision that may not be to everyone's taste, but feels the acceptable way for you to react.

I would add, that it's not realistically possible to make choices based on "personality of Heroes". You never know, which character is going to make a call.

I mostly lean towards siding with the characters or faction I find the most interesting, regardless of whether they are good or bad. If I cannot decide then usually the one I figure will yield the best rewards. Selen and Tamilin would agree with that I think.

Yeah I just make multiple play throughs and try to hit every plot choice possible.
