Turn/calm animal would be nice, and the game badly needs someone who can use Earth magic. It also needs someone who can use Ice magic, just saying  I think you hit the nail on the head. That would be terrific especially the earth magic. I wonder what would happen if he encountered something similar to the cursed White wolf quest in HoS, while in the shape of a wolf in Legends of Steel. |

Bard: Bard's make me want to jam two fingers down my throat and puke in game developers laps. I always think of them mincing around taverns with lousy combat skills. That has been my experience with other games. I'm sure you guys can do better than that. I wasn't impressed with the Never Winter Nights implementation, and several other big video game houses. Why do I feel like Balgair wrote this, and he's just jealous of bards because they're handsome, can sing while fighting, and could probably drink him under the table... In all seriousness though, bards are a bit over used in this genre, so I agree in that sense  Tis True he was probably was in his cups when he spouted off on yet another drunken rant. Balgair did mention what he lacks in good looks there is more than enough gold to compensate. "Bards sing for their suppers" rumpf! |

Opinions  Druid Because they are so rare in the HoS lore. Mysterious and powerful. Our teams have faced allot of nature oriented monsters. Assassin: No I think the high stealth and deadly talents of Selen and Tamilin got this covered. Knight: Tough call when considering Vraes Shield and Juggernaut talents. Monk: I really like the NPC monk in HoS. Not so sure how that would work as a player character. Monks will need some protection against melee, and missile, if they want to go hand to hand. (Throwing stars for ranged?) Bard: Bard's make me want to jam two fingers down my throat and puke in game developers laps. I always think of them mincing around taverns with lousy combat skills. Personally I crack up when fallen reads some long winded tirade about some unloved features or whatever. This post obviously takes the writer a half hour to write, and all they get is... Thanks for the feedback! Absolutely! There was this guy who went on for almost two pages about how crappy the game was, how it should be re-coded, how he could do better, the price sucks etc. "Thanks for the feedback" Gotta Love it |

achilles73 Making Changes is just what I hoped for. Gallows is just a jump off to inspire the imagination of others. I created Gallows way back on April 7th 2015. About time it got a face lift. Thanks for creating the separate thread. It's generating allot of new ideas 6 pages already, wow. Now I have something to poach from on my next team lol. Good Job!  When I think back on all the versions and changes to talents. Not to mention monster abilities and prior to boost in. Today is a whole new world. My next team will include the lessons I learned from my first group that reached level 47, and the weekly evolution of the game provided by the Trese Brothers bottomless well of talent.

I finally have Tulwar! It should last me a long time! But my SP drain is back to 8 percent  Excellent. I fight melee with Selen using 2 Tulwars. I just wish it didn't take so long to buy them. Maybe a mini quest to get them earlier would be cool to add? I haven't read all your posts yet but really like them. I genuinely had allot of doubts with Kincaid and have never gone all the way with him, You have changed my mind. Fyona still mystifies me. I'm not sure how to use her talents, there are so many it is difficult to specialize. Hope to read about your experiences with her. |

John Robinson - installing Dropbox on your computer creates a magical folder (the Dropbox folder) and anything you put in that folder gets backed up to the cloud. So, if you install it, you'd then link your save folders for Heroes of Steel (etc, any file) into that folder so that it is always backed up, whenever it is changed. Great product, recommended. Excellent! Thanks for pointing out the right direction.  (I might ask another question once I try and make it work.. thanks again). |

Next moment my face hit the asphalt and I genuinely saw one of my teeth fly out. I had cracked two more as well. The worrying thing was that I couldn't move my hands. It was not a pretty sight. Sooooo that was Sunday morning. Since then I have been lucky enough to spend my days in the spinal unit of the local hospital. After two days of staring at the ceiling, I was allowed up and am now able to do sone things for myself. My hand control is coming back slowly (only minor damage to my spinal cord) but I am not about to write a novel any time soon. Long story short, I now have more time to spend here. I have done my 7000th post, and I do not recommend riding kids scooters. Back to playing heroes of steel ... Your hands! Holy S**t! Spinal unit? I am so glad you are alive. Reading your later posts in this thread. I smile with admiration that you never lose your sense of humor. You remind me of Doctor Who. Best holiday wishes, and a HEALTHY new year. |

slayernz ntsheep Thanks guys for jumping in! I might try something after Christmas. After several black screen boot failures, I had to push the power button down to get it to shut off. Once I got a message saying "Please install operating system" I also can't always get into Bios during bootstrap. I might pull the drive and send it to a guy that does forensics/restores. I needed a computer a.s.a.p. there could be just all kinds of fun getting files off the old 8.1 machine onto the new windows 10. It might be easier to take it out in the redwoods behind the house and execute it with my Twelve Gage. Then bury it in separate pieces. But Jeez I'd rather be playing HoS. Google saved a number of important files in the cloud and I needed my gmail right away. Would be a terrible time to work on a dead machine when I haven't ordered all my Amazon gifts for Sana's good little kiddies.

Noooooooooooooooo!!!! That's beyond shitty, and I'm sorry to hear that you lost so much data... Holy Rollers must have been hundreds by itself... I for one hope to see a more aggressive strategy from ol' Balgair, perhaps using a slightly different crew. Thanks Buddy Holy Rollers was created back in Feb 2015. So I'll be building a new team. There are features that will carry over because I have been having so much fun with them. |

John Robinson - I am very sorry to hear that! What terrible news. I highly recommend anyone to use Dropbox to back up your Trese Brothers Games on Steam! Being a cave dweller who still uses a stone keyboard, could you provide a tip on how to get started with Dropbox? Are there special options for Steam Backups? Thnaks |
