If possible I would like to make a comment in the post describing the differences between primary and secondary skills.
I'm thinking it's how often a skill gets a +1 point when leveling Ranks?

John Robinson - yes, that is the only difference. Primary Skills will always be higher.

Thanks I've been a little worried about publishing stuff like this because I don't want to go against the online goals.

Just shooting from the hip: I wonder if there is anything that could read BBcode then kick it out on the wiki? OOPs!  that was dumb it has to come from the autogen source.

As part of the gameplay reference for each job, I would like a list of which talents become available at which levels. Sometimes I think it makes sense to not take a low-level talent so that when higher level ones become available, you can take more of them. But planning for that requires knowing the whole talent list and when they arrive.

Is that counterbalanced by weaker traits? No, it can't be how it works, since you only get the traits of your first profession.

Engineer: Repair +3 Electronics +1
Mechanic: Repair +3 Electronics +1 Ship Ops +2

The unbalance is especially obvious here. Isn't the Mechanic simply a better Engineer? Or are an Engineer's talents that much better?

Engineer and Mechanic are different.  Best way to understand is going to the talent section on the wiki by clicking HERE, then sort by Job.  You can see the talents available for each job.  Also, you can see the max skills from the Skills section on the wiki.  Engineer is much higher than Mechanic in Repair and Electronics as you level up.
