John Robinson You have left out Mining worlds altogether.
If you add a column for the legality of the goods, I can help fill the column in. It makes a big difference -- not only do you have to find the right sort of planet, but also one that will take the legality of your good. Many of the 'x' in your columns are there, not because the place is not interested in the good -- it is, very interested -- just that it's illegal with that place's trade law rating.

Yeah, it's a work in progress.  This is how far I got by 6:30 a.m. pst.  Just wanted to publish what I had written so far.  Mining world  coming soon.
Now that I have it, I'm double checking with split screen while playing the game.

I'm going to need some help later in explaining to myself and new players some of the other important factors.  I'll probably post that in:

Well, one thing that this chart doesn't mention is that there are places that both buy and sell the same good. Now, if they sell it, you aren't going to get a good price when you try to sell there, but sometimes you just don't care, and will take an F rating sale -- if you are looting merchants left, right and centre, it may be more profitable to take what you can get and get back out there robbing rather than make the leisurely trip to a place where you can sell the thing for more. Especially when it's biowaste.

Not sure. I thought it was 'too much birthday Sangre de Toro for me' causing me to make a false bug report -- there is no reason why a place couldn't buy and sell an item. Now if they buy it for more than they sell it for, they are headed for bankrupcy, but that wasn't what I was seeing.
