Why are you so worried about rep loss anyway? Just go visit somebody who has pardons for the offended faction and buy a pardon for loose change. Try to do this before they send the Zealots and Bounty Hunters after you, 'natch.

Who doesn't want to be a bad boy and not be punished for it? Last team out of approx first 30 contacts 5 were outside of faction, and were the wrong type to offer pardons. I keep track of contacts in one of my infernal tables. Of course I want to have my cake and eat it too. Run amok, and still have most factions think, "He's basically a good boy just misunderstood."

I haven't actually tried Terrifying Extortion yet, unfortunately.

Well, I just tried it and it is weird.
The things you extort just show up, silently in your cargo hold. You can tap the extort button multiple times. The merchants all beg that there is nothing left to offer, and maybe they were correct about that, too. But as far as I can tell, no rep lost. So I think it needs a bit of work, first so that it will report that it is being used, then so it can only be used once (if you have multiple pirates, I still think that only once makes sense, but perhaps not), and then so that you will lose rep when you use it.

John Robinson: if morale loss is still troubling you, head for a planet owned by a faction you would like better rep with. You want one that has a stardock, lots of economic activity, and hardly any military. And some government. Patrol it. The locals on the planet will shower rep increases on you and your problem will be solved.

Tops in the brains department as usual. +1

Found the case in which it wasn't working (filled your cargo in one use). Talent cools down and cannot be used repetitively. Fixed for next. "The Merchant dumped 12 units of cargo that we have snatched up (Raw Spice, Scrap). Now we can decide if we should keep our word."

I will try again as soon as I am done posting this collection of typos and bugs. Updated post. Unless you have a large and empty cargo hold, looks like it will operate as described. Fixed for next.

Love the direction of the thread. Played games where I've gone way down in rep in a faction or two, and would love to search for a way to turn that into a game advantage (license to kill/raid/capture a certain faction's resources). Could be that options based on profession and contacts hates, fascinated by potential storyline being revealed based on contacts hate of Cadar and captain's -300 rep with Cadar. Could be a great upgrade down the road
