When I'm doing a mission and I encounter a ship that I could surrender to instead of fight I want to know what the implications are for my missions. It would be great to see that in the ship report scree.
i.e.
Missions: Because this is a military ship they will confiscate the data cube we are carrying, if they can find it. This pirate will not harm the negotiator we escorting, they will only loot our cargo.

Because this is a military ship they will confiscate the data cube we are carrying, if they can find it. Even if this data cube is part of a mission given to us by the same Faction the military ship belongs to?

How will the game react if we have two cubes from different factions? Will it be able to tell us that one cube is safe but not the other?

How will the game react if we have two cubes from different factions? Will it be able to tell us that one cube is safe but not the other? Same as if each cargo package was present individually. If you had 1 from their Faction and 1 from an opposed Faction, each one would be considered. We could easily make up a lot of complex rules here, just would be hard to explain to player.

So will the game say that "one cube may be seized" or "both/two/your cubes may be seized"?

So will the game say that "one cube may be seized" or "both/two/your cubes may be seized"? I wasn't planning on having the game solve this puzzle, just put the facts out in front of the player plainly.

I think a lot of us would like our hands held on this one, especially since encounters are not the clearest thing already. You might save yourself a lot of blowback too from people getting on the forums and email saying "why the #_@+! did this happen?"

But does the game then says 1. The cube from mission [name of the mission] may be seized? 2. A cube may be seized? 3. Cubes may be seized?
To quote @contributor: > Because this is a military ship they will confiscate the data cube we are carrying, if they can find it.
I know contributor was only offering an example, but "the data cube" is only clear if there's only one, which is why I wonder what the game will tell us if there are two and only one of the two is from the same Faction as the military ship.
