I feel a story in my fingers and cruelty in my mind. Perhaps a little devil is dancing in kind. Blood in the wind, evil being done. Something wicked is to come. rabid

While this post may not cast me in a good light, in the interests of full disclosure, I will give the full story of how I began my Trese Bros experience.
Backstory: I was a staff member at no less than 11 private bittorrent sites over 5+ years before getting out of active involvement back in 2011, up to and including being part owner and SysOp of one. While many will not agree with my participation in the file-sharing scene (nor do I expect them to), events such as the MPAA and RIAA suing customers, shutting down websites, and manipulating governments and entities worldwide to further their clinging to outdated and draconian business models simply push me to the point where I will support them with my money as little as possible. I cannot abide by businesses and industries who shaft not only the consumer, but also the content creators whom they contract with, all while claiming patently false monetary loss numbers due to piracy and attempting to pass legislation to restrict or remove even our own fair use rights for media that we purchase, just to pad their own pockets some more. Again, I don't expect anyone to agree with me, or support my actions, I am simply stating my history and general opinion, take it or leave it. Money is what drives them all, and if you follow the money, you will find the truth, and the truth is not pretty.
That being said, my introduction to ST:RPG was via a pirated Elite version (4.3.15 if I recall correctly). I quickly began looking up info on the game when I started playing it, and found this forum. The more I read, the more impressed I was, especially by the Trese Bros' dedication to development and the players. I rarely see the love with which they maintain this game (not to mention TA or CK) from other developers on any platform, and after a month, I felt absolutely compelled to get a legitimate version on the Play store, both to get updated versions AND to support TB for their exemplary care and devotion to their work and their supporters. As soon as I did that, I registered on this forum and began participating, because I didn't feel right doing so prior to purchasing the game. Since then, I have done nothing but evangelize them and their games, even doing so many times on my own prepaid android phone forum, because these gentlemen truly deserve recognition and paid support for being standout examples of what people should be able to expect from developers. It takes a LOT for me to support a business/entity/person with my money beyond what I feel is necessary, and the Trese Bros have convinced me 110% that they are worth supporting.
I have said it before, and I'll say it again, I would gladly pay 3-5 times what they currently ask for this game, because it would be worth it. I made it my mission long ago to get as many people to play ST:RPG and introduce them to a culture where the developers listen, respond, and implement ideas from their players, and show a true enthusiasm about their product long after most developers drop one and move on. Andrew and Cory, if you guys are ever in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, dinner and/or drinks are on me, because I would love to thank you in person for an absolutely fantastic gaming experience all the way around.

Looking for turn based strategy/rpg games. Downloaded it and never played seriously because the screen of the phone is not big enough. Found it on ipad, got hooked instantly and bought the elite version.

I did a search for "space strategy game" on the old Android Market, hoping for something turn-based as I am a huge fan of Alpha Centauri, Galactic Civilizations, and other sci-fi strategy games. With a job that keeps me away from home a lot of the time, and my laptop whisked away into the hands of an ex months ago, never to return, my gaming fix was in need of an alternative to my usual PC and console inclinations.
ST was the first app I paid for although I was quite new to the concept when I found the game. Since then, I have paid for a number of other games and apps but I feel it was Trese Brothers who showed me how a mobile game ought to be designed and maintained, as the gold standard for all future purchases, which made me comfortable in appraising other mobile media franchises.

Sounds like you'd enjoy Spaceward Ho! I used to play it on the Mac, and apparently a version has been made for Windows and mobile devices since then. I might give that a try myself.

I obviously love the matrix and I believe I was searching matrix wallpapers when the cyber knights beta came up.I already had star trades elite at that point,so its possible that Google threw it in because of that.

BlastGT1, I finally read your post in full, and agree with everything you said about TB and the game. It's funny that you said that you joined the forum AFTER you purchased the game from the market. I've seen a handful of people who came into the forum with a cracked copy, and they got given fantastic support for the game questions they had. Any issues that caused the game to crash/hiccup had the expected answer "to fix these problems, buy the game", but I think it was the fact that everyone got to get access to the wisdom of the TB's, even if the user wasn't using a legit copy, that makes TB's even more amazing.
