One of my favorite cooking shows is called New Scandinavian Cooking hosted by Andreas Viestad. The show does a lot of outdoor cooking and some of the places they have gone are so beautiful to look at. I see the hills, mountains, plants and just want to spend hours roaming them.

Hell, Göteborg can be ... Somewhat... Easily reached from Germany, especially the more northern parts of it. Loved Sweden when I was there as a kid. Beautiful city, not unlike Riga. So perhaps I could eat for you, ntsheep? Sent from my rooted Falcon -- I want "Cerberus: By Hatred Born" back!! ASAP. The Stena Line Ferry runs every night from Göteborg to Kiel. But, well, I'm in Stockholm weekdays for the next couple of months. So better visit on the weekend!

Are you kidding me?
Klöße, Braten und Rotkohl. Ich mag ja eher Weißwurst under Dampfnudeln.
... Obwohl das eine schwäbisch und das andere bayrisch ist... Hehehe!

Hmmm... A night at martins place in Hamburg, then to Kiel, shipping to Göteborg... 2 days, not including preparations. If I'd have the cash at the moment, I'd actually go for it. Good thing German and Swedish are (to some extent) similar, that means I won't have much trouble reading it...
Let me plot down a route from Detmold... Want to know how long it'd take...

You as a sheep wouldn't only look, you'd eat them, too... Well, the plants and the grass at least... Sent from my rooted Falcon -- I want "Cerberus: By Hatred Born" back!! ASAP.

As much as I love modern technology, I am also completely at home in nature. Since the age of 5 I've been taught, and have taught myself, how to live of the land.

Okay, would take around 11 hrs, not stopping, not considering roadworks... But these and the resulting slower speed could, perhaps, add up to another 4 to 5 hrs... And I don't want to go over the Fehmarn-Island... So another 1.5 hr addit.

Jacob sorry my limited German is exceedingly rusty as I was last in Augsburg in 1997 Truely miss the food and Gast houses (spelling all wrong sorry) Being able to sit down to a wonderful meal, get friendly service and not feel like they were looking to push you back out the door but instead to make yourself at home, break out some cards for a few games even is something nearly impossible to find here in the U.S.A.

xdesperado, how'd you get there? Anyway, revisit it some day. And if you do, don't dare to forget hamburg... BEFORE they tear down the most beautiful part of that city. And: Riesling is almost perfect, but I truly love Federweißer... Sent from my rooted Falcon -- I want "Cerberus: By Hatred Born" back!! ASAP.
