There's been talk that Luxury Rations are space food. Some have suggested that spacers eat BBQ Xeno. I don't know. I do know that life itself can be pretty tough. In that vein, I'd like to present this thread. Day to day, we all need a special food item to boost morale. Maybe you know of one, and would like to share. Avoid things like "Mom's biscuits", cause I don't know where to buy those. The more luxurious the better. Here is a special treat. Useful in all things. ALL things. (Chocolate)

Good choice Cory Trese, that looks tasty and would make a great base for homemade herbal salves.

Since I have mentioned before I can live off plants from the woods, a lot of things to me qualify as Luxury Rations. Like this,

Cadbury's whole nut chocolate makes Lindt look silly and far cheaper. Now just to work out how to eat it without killing myself. :-(

So you would turn down a Lindt truffle if you could eat it without dying Lesleyr?

You know what's really good? Working at some if the best restaurants in the state of Rhode Island.... I've made and tasted things that would make your toes curl in ecstasy. Has anyone here ever had demi-glace made from the bones of an entire grass-fed, local cow? It started out as 40 gallons of beef stock and by the time it was finished there was about a gallon and a half left. Thicker than gravy, and so delicious and concentrated that you could taste it for the next 20 minutes. Homemade kielbasa.... Sea salt caramel sauces, homemade and fantastic vinaigrettes and sauces..... Braised lamb shanks (no-one you knew, ntsheep, I promise)... I could go on.....

A few years back, I saw an African man named newwho? Eat his first truffle. It was a happy moment. The man of leisure who gave it to him was thrilled at newwho's eyes lighting up. Ah....America...anyway, I like some olive oil. I sprinkle pepper in it and dip baked bread, you know, sometimes...never had lamb, En1gma you live right by the coast? Hey wait a minute let's not get distracted from showing off luxury rations. Confused by ntsheep and his packets...
