Every few releases we managed to find a little bit of budget to add a few more filters from the list of 400 or so proposed ones. Likewise with additional search and sort options. Always working to improve, these posts are helpful for future games or patches. Thanks for taking the time.

They are SQLite. For iOS devices, Apple has done a ton to support file access and whenever possible, we jump on board.
We'll keep pushing on Google to offer such things, and for future games we will keep trying to improve.
For Steam players, the goal is definitely to provide just that type of experiencing -- tweaking the starting Doctor, or editing the map or changing traits to experiment. However, that's all tied to the mod version which we can't bring to mobile.

Unfortunately, Google Play doesn't have infrastructure for mod support like Valve does in Steam. We'll keep an eye on the future possibilities for our next game, however.

Also this is probably something that we could add to the Saved Game Editor for the STF - Modding Edition.
Players will probably want one-click access to adding or clearing Traits -- and an editor for tweaking your Cap and Officers.

I do like the concept of triggering Bio-Poison damage on push and pull.
There were a bunch of good discussions around this during the alpha.
The concept of allowing push and pull to move opponents into the "gas cloud" was also suggested, basically letting you copy the debuff.
Another suggestion for Bio-Poison was around how it stacks -- instead of linearly have it stack more aggressively.
The fact is that Bio-Poison damage doesn't "cost" that much in the STF balancing equations, so the Talents aren't out of balance with the current implementation.

Great ideas, I have added these to the list. If they don't make it into STF, they'll make it into the next Star Traders game!

I will look into some way to improve the wiki.
The mutation tree isn't well documented -- I think because it isn't something players can generally control, it has usually been ok as a black box.

This was something we tried out in the alpha test with our Kickstarter backers, and it wasn't a fun thing to manage.
I do think the queue for Starport upgrades in the drydock ADDED fun, and removed player overhead -- was worth the work.
One of the things about the game is that *time* is a major factor -- and collapsing all penalties linearly for the time aspect would, I'm afraid, have a net negative impact on the game.
That said, we did try it once already. At the time, I was a fan of the idea.

Things that can trigger DEVICE_FREAK
- Black Market Success, Salvage Success - MechSync Trait (From Radiation Storms OR Scavenger Trait)
Maybe it could use another mutation path, after analysis

So I knew immediately from testing that this only happens occasionally -- but I didn't understand why it was failing when it did.
Some parts of STF are just hilariously complex -- I couldn't figure it out at first, but the self-testing system showed me WHERE it was happening.
Any UCF conscription that was far enough away from a UCF world for the SystemSelect to miss. Further investigation finds that the Crew builder starts with Homeworld for everything -- and those poor UCF crew members were too far away for the simulator to figure out where they lived!
This isn't actually unique to UCF, it could theoretically happen to any Faction, if the map was strange enough.

Thanks for the reports. We'll keep working on the game with each patch.
Not a bug, important feature of Trait Mutation Engine:
Tested this for 10,000 names -- saw zero deviations. Screenshot would be required:
You are correct about this combat nuance:
Vignettes are not intended to appear in every game. Bigger maps will spread them out, and some playstyles will speed right past them. This is the intention.

winheight 2160 winwidth 3840
You can also select 4K in the resolution list in-game, just pick 3840x2160 and set the game as windowed.
