Alright where do you guys want me uploading the pdf? Any time your ready, sooner you get it up sooner I can copy it and place in the Dropbox folder. Also posted link to folder in the Campaign Info Thread, if people want I can add links to the individual PDFs as well.

Should be able to just swap the Extended Life Support for the Fuel Scoops and leave Cargo unchanged then. Power and Mass requirements are the same for them on a Frigate class ship like a Free Merchant. Whoops. My bad. Ok made the edit and should be good to go now.

Brutus Aurelius did you also add Extended stores? Rereading the rules looks like that's probably not needed as stores are figured off max crew size which the Extended Life Support doubled. Extended stores would only be necessary if the ship were going to make an extended journey. Should be able to just swap the Extended Life Support for the Fuel Scoops and leave Cargo unchanged then. Power and Mass requirements are the same for them on a Frigate class ship like a Free Merchant.

If you didn't add Extended Stores then the Cargo Size shouldn't have changed as the Fuel Scoops and Extended Life Support require same power and mass on a Frigate class ship which the Free Merchant is.

How much cargo did we lose? I'll edit the ship sheet with the changes. Also what's showing as garbled on my sheet? If need be I'll download a clean blank then edit again. The ship went from 100 to 60 tons of cargo capacity. As for your sheet, the parts that are garbled seem to have corrected themselves. Strange, but it might have just been a glitch with Chrome. Ok I redownloaded and just finished redoing my sheet. Give it a quick check please to see if it's showing properly. Meantime I'll make edits to ship.

The Midas Star has swapped her fuel scoops and some cargo space for extended life support and can now support up to 12 people on board. Her fuel bunkers still give her enough hydrogen for two drill jumps without refueling. EDIT: is it just me, or do most of the character sheets have garbled sections for the non editable sections? It seems fine on my phone, but not my chromebook. I'll try my regular laptop and report back. EDIT 2: OK, it seems that it is just Atlas Screams and xdesperado that have garbled sheets. Looks ok here but have no idea how it's appearing to others.

Brutus Aurelius I noticed that you'd already either fudged the Max crew for a Free Trader or else the Midas Star isn't a standard Free Merchant ship to start with. While I think we're not likely to get any more players at this point, you might consider when you adjust the ship specs just making the max crew size 12 as if extended life support and ships stores were extended. That way there would be a little room in case of passengers/employers that we might want or need to take aboard.

Is there room for 1 more? I've been reading through the manual and I just caught up on the thread. I was gonna make a space marine character of that's ok. I'll have to read up on the sector and pick a homeworld b4 I come back with a character sheet ready. I'll say that you can join, but that will be the last person we take. After that we start to make it beyond the scope of a Free Trader crew. I'll reduce the Cargo space on the Midas Star, in exchange for bumping up the crew count. I told you we wanted a Real Frigate and not a Free Trader!

Another Space Marine? There's always so few of us in the quadrant in one place... Join us my brother, and we will be unstoppable. From a group balance perspective, we may have a ton of short range with 2 Space Marines, but end up lacking in the long range, so keep that in mind picking your exact class and weaponry, mandomaniac. Space Marine gives Combat/Energy weapon and a Laser Rifle costs 300 with a 300/500 range, not exactly what I'd call close range specialists there... Combine that with the Security Crew or oddly enough Worker backgrounds and you could double dip on Combat/Energy Weapon and start with Skill rank 1
