I was involved a bit in Stars Without Number, it turns out none (maybe some) of us were super reliable... I was out being even sicker than normal for a while myself. I think the final nail in the coffin ended up being master Brutus Aurelius getting swamped with school. It kinda fizzled out from there.

Polls are definitely fun in large part cause the forum (Patreon) members are pretty great, but so is fallen's art and story telling in comic form. If you wanna get a little more story in by spacing polls a wee bit further that seems fine to me.
I do propose Space Girl is somewhat shorthanded when the crew is talking to each other as just The Girl... I support the Patreon's decision of course, but so weird to hear it in the pages like that...

I'm a digital sheep that downloads into a human body. Gundamgoth comes from a long line of platypuses. What can you do to top that weirdness Are you sure you want to find out? Yes, although my own anxiety may never allow that. Torp from my burrows deep underground... Edit: Wait, why are we torping here again..?

Ok I reverted to video drivers from last year and that seems to have fixed the display bug. Latest Intel HD 530 drivers seem to blame, or maybe I just got a bad install of them...

wascalwywabbit - posting a screenshot that includes the entire window and some space beyond it would help. Sent a jpg screen shot to andrew@tresebrothers.com since online photo posting is not yet in my repertoire...

wascalwywabbit - all screens are chopped or just certain elements? Still can't reproduce here. It appears to be the top screen only, where the title bar is... 'back' button "skip all' the 3 bar menu button, gold in the item menu etc. It appears to me that it's trying to display but the title bar is cutting it off/displaying on top of it in windowed mode. Windows 10 is now fully up to date, video drivers are latest - I can try rolling them back I guess... Edit: There may be negligible cut off on sides and bottom for the window borders but they are small and not very noticeable... I will see if I can hunt down the window border setting in win10 and make 'em fat to check that... Edit 2: Never mind Win10 removed that ability, plus your display engine doesn't seem to have regular windows borders anyhow. -This in not win 3.1 Wabbit, everything has changed - mostly better, but personalization has somewhat gone backwards in a few cases...

Odd. Not getting it here. Maybe update the video drivers to the latest? Using Intel's driver update utility, it says I'm on the latest. Just ran a Windows update check and there's a cumulative update I'm downloading now if there are any OS fixes - we'll see, may need to roll back the video drivers and check that if the windows update doesn't change it...

The outer most edges of the UI seems to be cut off in this update, e.g. skip dialog, other outside elements. They are still clickable, just half there. I tried my standard 1600x900 and 1900x1050 (I think) windowed mode. Haven't tested full screen yet.
Win 10 w/game mode, Intel hd 530 video, latest stable.
I may have updated the video drivers since last played, just noticed the edge removal today, don't recall for sure.
Edit: Full screen seems normal/unaffected - just windowed mode for me.

I'll keep adding results as well. However, a quick request though, the results are nice but if one uses a tuning item, could you include it? This really helps people get results with crafting. I had been avoiding listing tuning items since different tuner items can end with the same craft. I didn't want to confuse anyone who hasn't read the crafting rules Andrew/fallen has laid out. Yes hp, sp and elemental/holy are somewhat reliable tuning properties IME - like for like, if available per type.

I made that angel joke name for my own humour on my walk yesterday, didn't think it'd "fly". I hope not letting bunnies vote wasn't the lesson for my own sake... Never Lost could be blind hope, or the height hubris ... or possibly someone in denial about it's history and so they decided the rediculous ritualistic renaming hoops were worth jumping thru... About those superstitions... in my mind they come in three types 1: useful, such as believing theft will result in the thief being struck by lightning - this results in the 'religious' observer being kept away from acts of communal harm. 2: harmless, e.g. wearing red socks help you be more awesome... somehow... ok, maybe could get annoying... and 3: harmful, such as: the accused witch must not be given trial as to not cast spells on the judge and jury, she must be decapitated, head on a pike and body tied to rocks and thrown in to further 'drown', fished out, left as carrion until dry and then burned. Not only potentially harmful to tbe life of innocents, but just hugely wasteful of time and resources. :-p As long as naming superstitions don't cause a neglect of due diligence or deliberate or careless harm, harmless, but humans tend to be less than ideal at not letting their assumptions cause harm, so in practice that's where most superstitions remain. Even the lightning example could easily become, "Meh, so the burglar stole the tools of your livelihood, it's ok, not police concern cause he'll get struck by lightning..." "But what about my tools - I can't feed myself without the income from their use?" "Well, you better hope the lightning gets 'im where the tools can be recovered."BUT HE'S NOT LIKELY TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING!" "GASP, BLASPHEMY! IT'S DEATH TO YOU BLASPHEMER!" Don't think severe cases of superstitions don't end badly... So many wars of superstitions and egos clinging to them, religion of course becomes the scape goat even though careful readings often ask the opposite of such harms... PS The horse carcass has been soundly mistreated for your gladiatorial entertainment... I apologise for the harm it may have caused those who don't enjoy such spectacle.

Yeah... tempting the fates would be to call it the Never Lost. :-p I stand by my opinion, if naming for good is no guarantee, neither is naming for ill... Besides I don't think the name implies ill so much as ironic humor - again Lost is metaphorical to my mind in this case anyway. I also don't think the earth was made in six earth days... I do agree with the general order though... If you have 20 ships, 5 are lost, one happens to have chosen Shipwreck as its name, the other four named after women's body parts... It's not surprising that when the names come up stupid people think "Shipwreck, don't say that, it's a bad omen." Meanwhile the lost ship "Boobies" merely makes the all male crew just long for shore leave and the affection of a woman. Stupid lonely scurvy ridden men don't invent or pilot thru jump gates... That all being said, if sticking to absurd maritime superstitions is that important I can retract my vote again... Dumb bunnies shouldn't have votes anyhow except fallen is generous...

A "Bolter" range 7 bow becomes a "Kiresh Bolter" range 8 bow in crafting.

Naming calls. You call your ship the Lost-something-or-other and you are asking the gods to lose you. The link you posted suggested not to name it something of hubris ... Just because Johnny ship bum wants to name his dingy "Rich Man's Yacht of Sexy Women" doesn't mean the foul smelling bum is going to be rich or even allowed near a woman... So...

I think it's an ill-omened name. Getting Lost in Space is a real possibility, and 'naming calls'. Maybe Lost is to due with finding purpose i.e. unknowable future jobs while it wanders... It's not necessarily physically lost.

I am the right hand of death. Voltgar dies like the rest. But death is oft regarded as sinister i.e. left handed... :-p Probably wrong game for that joke, but I regret nothing!
