So if you spare him he becomes the Pale Walker. Does that mean if you do kill him he becomes the brown walker? No crimson ... as in blood.

We are sliding down hill like the ton of biowaste I bought at the ST2 exchange Zealous Seeker (+1 vote) Shippy McShipface (+1 vote) Lost Shepherd (+1 vote) Promethium Clipper (+1 vote) Acute Angle (+1 vote) Space Girl (+1 vote) Vamoose (+1 vote) Relegious Excrement (+1 Vote) I would like to point out that the sheep wants a Lost Shepherd, no longer saying Holy Sh!t ... see above. I don't mind a little on going teasing about the name between the mates, but let's have a reasonable one for official business, eh? and with 2 votes the animals have found their Shepherd and are winning ... Now if only the Lost Shepherd can figure out where it's going... Unless we wanna keep arguing about silly names til we're all sick of it- I mean look at my name. :-p -Wabbit

Ship name = Relegious Excrement. +1 for those that get the joke JFYI, it's spelled Religious... presumably. Not sure of my Patreon status atm due to debt consolidation/financial changes my wife is doing... If I still have a vote - Lost Shepard.

I'm losing weight again, so heat does my RA good, hence why I live in a hot desert... Random thought ... ok not really, but the particular pensive state is not worth writing about currently ... anyway... The nice thing about writing, particularly in asynchronous time, is not needing to be quick witted or timely. Merely having some literacy and thought coherence is -almost- enough ... The downside is that I have to wait for your responses to entertain in a company keeping sort of way... goose-gander I guess ... Also not being quick witted and timely means not everything deserves any response regardless. I think I may have a larger point but that may take more time...

Had my final visit wit physical therapy today. I can fully bend and move my leg and knee like I should and have about 75-80% of my strength. As long as I keep exercising, I should get the rest back in a few more months. BTW, does anyone know where I can find a good supply of brains. I'm a little hungry right now Well brains aren't always part of the talking heads I see on tv and the web so ... choose carefully so your poor knee doesn't starve I guess.

A war with Rivenfield may be better than a thousand petty tyrants fighting for the throne at Red Hill, yes... A peaceful resolution is outside the scope of the game, probably, but I still would like to say to the question: "Am I the man for the job?" -- "Time will tell..." or ... "It's not for me to say, but it is for them whom you'd lead..." or the like. This yes, no business is a trap of the destined war, not really a choice per se. Imo Lady Strom should be Baron and you her knight, Barnett... not that you'd listen to me anyhow with fortification and revenge on your mind...
I blame the budget office and the lack of alternatives. So totally expected from governments... :-p
ps I'm apparently a lonely rabbit in my choices...

The problem with Giova is a lack of peaceful concern outside his group...
That sort of tribalism leads to repeated wars with outsiders when resentments run high, not all of which end up being good even for their own...
I don't hate him, but trade establishes more success in peacetime than his hardened warrior attitude.
It does make sense for him to helm security, perhaps as a knight, but ruling in peacetime doesn't seem his strong suit. No option for that as alternative, so better the devil you know..?

Hey, I am doing this on the iPhone and am stuck on the battlements. Stairs don't work and no other exit. I see on Steam you have patched this so people aren't trapped. Will you do so for iPhone, too, I hope? Thanks Apple's approval process takes longer than the other supported store fronts, but all their newer games (HoS included) get similar updates on all major supported app stores in quick succession.

I chose to kill him since it seemed to me with His fading power Gholla was going to be overrun soon... It felt like it would break Hagathrun's heart and the people of Gholla's spirit... So I gave them something else to rely on as a mercy.
Maybe I was wrong.

It's hard to go wrong with ash imo since it helps the damage of all attacks, has a quite good effective acc boost against targets ashed and it is a guaranteed curse of decent range that hits thru walls and the like. You can absolutely build good talent layouts of all his other skills, warding words being the most situational, but getting very good acc and decent physical damage increases for your team is an A grade skill. Since immolation has been changed to give crit vulnerability it gives some of the best damage increase party wide in the game, but it's hard to give up a strong acc boost if you need it - you can't crit anything if you can't hit it after all... There are other ways to gain acc though... Pureflame shield starts being useful beyond a bit of armor and res vs shamans in act 2 of episode 1, but moreso in episode 2 where krete and spiders etc. become noticeably magic focused where magic res of pfs and piety ward become a bit more useful. That being said, I'd rather kill things faster than spread my valuable talents points too thin. Gears can be often enough to absorb danger if you gear up for each map. First couple battles often give an idea what you're facing on each map if you haven't played the area before. Generally dodge+hp avoids physical and magic damage while giving resilience just in case you are hit. Building armor and res can soak most enemies attacks, but some do too much physical to ever soak enough, so in those cases you need to dodge it, sure parry it if melee, or have enough hp to take the hit and then heal with talent or potion. Don't forget to ap curse the baddies with more than 1ap who can pose a danger... -acc curses and + team dodge/parry attributes/skills/talents/gears stack to give a good chance to avoid being hit. -damage curses and armor/res attributes/talents stack nicely as well, but there's no getting around needing enough hp to take a hit, enough acc to connect and enough phys/magical damage to overcome armor/res. The hardest part of my soak teams was, except the mystics' talents, all -damage curses were melee while all -acc were ranged and it's hard to beat the surety of simply killing or ap cursing to guarantee inaction by the enemies. ... I feel like I digressed, anyway hope that's food for thought.

@smaug
Normally spells base damage is physical. Magical damage is always a dice roll. Willpower ensures the dice roll for the magical damage is never below a percentage of willpower.
Willpower also adds resistance to your characters. This acts the same for magical attack defense as armor/toughness does for physical.
Finally willpower *5 =% of curse immunity. E.g. a willpower of 16 = 16*5=80% curse immunity. With a willpower of 16, 4 of every 5 curses cast at that character will fail to curse them. High willpower is a strong defense against shamans and the like.
There is a 4th feature of willpower that has been discussed, but it is not used right now. There are fears it would make the game too difficult. If it ever does get implemented in some form, the discussion tended toward a different attribute gaining the feature since willpower is already used by the 3 features listed above. Feel safe that you don't need to know about it for now.

The more you remove enemy armor and magic res, the more mundane and magic damage you add to your characters, the more you can go 1ap weapons for extra attacks.
Duel wield or high ap weapons is particularly good vs the high armor targets, especially when you don't have magical damage to overcome res.
Throwing knives make nice weapons with a bit of range, AoE and the talents come with nice debuffs for relatively little sp use. They lack defense, so pair well with a strong parrying blade in the case of Kincaid.
The cleric with shield off-tanks melee better in my experience, the thief raising dodge high enough can off-tank ranged attacks a bit. Definitely get warders shield up for your team to reduce damage.

Groth is all about the hp. He therefore isn't quite like the warlords.
