It's hard to believe that every one of these characters had parents that refused to give them a surname If they have them, I'd love to see them included in the intro, when characters talk to important story NPCs, or when someone has something urgent/important to say in the dialogs.

We should just make them up. Here's what I came up with. Bonus points to anyone that can identify the historical, popular, or literary reference that inspired each of the names. Vraes Cimmerian ( Conan the Barbarian) Kjartan Ambrosius (the wizard Merlin from King Arthur's legend's last name was Ambrosius) Kyera Delphi (from the ancient Greek Oracle of Apollo at Delphi) Tamilin Hode (original spelling of Robin Hood's last name) Kincaid Montoya ( The Princess Bride) Vincent Istar (The Istari are the wizards, such as Gandalf, in the Lord of the Rings universe) Fyona Delia (the source of the first known use of the word "Paladin") Selen Miles (last name of the protagonist in the original Assassin's Creed video game)

Is Montoya that a Gotham reference? I haven't read Gotham Central in sometime, but I remember her being outed by Two Face, then get trying to deal with Corrigan in the final arc.

Selena Miles, however, is. Catwoman FTW-- screw being good; I'm just gonna steal your stuff-- but at least I don't aim to hurt people.

Pricess Bride is correct. Credit to En1gma for getting that one first. Catwoman is not right. Sorry. Selen is actually the most difficult (obscure) one on the list, so I'd start with others, if you're trying to figure it out. Any more takers?

Is Vraes the son of Conan? Son, father, grandfather, grandson? Who knows? The reference is correct, though!

Ambrosius Aurelianus for KJ? His quest for his rightful seat on the throne led his rival Vortigern to retreat to a fortification in the mountains. During the siege, the fortress was struck by a bolt of lightning, and everyone inside perished in the ensuing blaze.
For Vincent, I'm fairly certain that you made a play on words concerning the Istari from Lord of the Rings.
