I spent 2 years perfecting the TA turn and AI math, but now I'm focused on TA2. Suffice it to say that TA is finished from a rules perspective, and everything in the post above is part of the game's design. Perfect math? Are you turning into Death the Kid and trying to find symmetry?

baxterr - xenos are unpredictable terrible creatures. They get move bonuses from a dice. That they do. Some of the AI get more dice the more they get hurt Thanks for the answer! Atleast I know that my phone is not broken on this behaviour. Recently it started to act strange. For example reverting another game I play (Pixel Dungeon) to a previous position which was way behind the last known. But all items I used are still gone. Then sometimes it just crashes when trying to install an app or updating an installed app. Really strange...

I looooooooooooooooooooooooove the idea that some of the AI get more dice as they get hurt.
If you can't kill it in one turn .... then you're gonna pay big!

Do you get messages about it mounting and unmounting?

Do you get messages about it mounting and unmounting? No, but it is still very strange. When I look into Settings I see everything as internal storage. But I do have a SD card inserted. In the Root Browser the SD card's space is found in the folder ExtSD. I am confused about it... I believe it is some kind of Cyanogenmod bug. I can not install apps that require an SD card either.

ExtSD is how android refers to your SD card, I presume because it isn't integral to the device. This is just a random guess, but did you get a big SD card at an unbelievably good price, if so, it could be hacked and actually have a much lower capacity than reported. The device would then try to write to memory that doesn't actually exist and you would get some bizarre errors. I kinda got caught like this, but because I was aware that it could be an issue, I tested the capacity by writing batches of video files onto the card and a supposed 128Gb card crashed at about 32Gb. I promptly raised a case with eBay and got my money back.

I bought my SD at a local computer store so I believe it is not hacked (its a small one ny the way, just 2 GB). fallenThe bug with dead members staying dead appeared again but under different circumstances. Campaign: Narvidian Dawn Mission: Enter Roavin Fortress Character: Rinn Barr (from Templar Battleforce) He died within the last couple turns of the mission and I finished the mission anyways to see how it would go. At the victory screen I pressed Retry Level. He stayed dead. Same as before I could only bring him back to life by just starting the mission again and he was there, all alive and well. Trying with other team members resulted in a crash again. Still playing on my Galaxy SII with Cyanogenmod running Android 4.2.2

baxterr - thanks for the detail, we will keep looking. Sounds great! Just to be clear -- this staying dead thing IS a feature of the higher difficulty settings. You're playing on Normal or Easy, right?

I know that the Templar may die permanently at this difficulty, but I guess they should not stay dead when you abort a mission (you fixed that bug already) or when you choose to try the mission again at the debriefing screen (don't know if you fixed that already, but I havent seen an update including it).

I get the same message and status when I abort the mission (or complete) with a dead templar about them being dead. However if you just go back to battle (click retry if you complete the mission with them dieing) even if the status says dead you can place them in your squad and they will be in the mission. If you complete the mission with them alive it, their alive/dead status will reset.

If you complete the mission with them alive it, their alive/dead status will reset. This matches my (10 year old) memories of how it works. We added a "not permadeath" mode after the game was launched -- originally, the ONLY mode was IRONMAN. So a lot of the messages aren't difficulty aware. Crazy that game came out a decade ago!
