An unexpected ally joins your party, pouncing from the shadows into the incoming horde of Ratkin warriors. A flash of claws, and grey-black fur is glimpsed, and the previously incessant battle-cry "Yips" of the Ratkin make way to squeals of pain, and a quiet unexpected rumbling. Kyera whispers to Selen, "Is that a ... purr?" Selen doesn't have time to respond because as quickly as it happened, the battle is over, and the assailant is nowhere to be seen. Vraes steps forward and quickly surveys the scene. All of the Ratkin have been slaughtered. No, slaughtered was the wrong word, for the beasts were dispatched with clinical precision. "What," Karjtan exclaimed "was that?!?" "Hopefully one of the future improvements that fallen was talking about" Selen responded with a smile. "Random Cat attacks"

Ok this may be a stupid question but how do you go about purchasing the respec code for $5?
Apparently in the past (when I was probably drunk) I managed to buy both a Steam and a Desura version. Neither has a option on the store page to purchase the re-spec code.
One oddly curious thing, the Desura version will not update to the latest ...FYI

arkangel1975 have you gone to the 'Store' icon on the title screen? Scroll down past the extra characters and it should be somewhere on that screen.

No I don't see it, it is the PC version if it matters

I believe that the $5 unlock is not available for the PC version of the game.

En1gma, PC versions don't have that button since everything is included without additional purchases. Have you tried using a respec even without crystals? However, I haven't downloaded the latest version of the game on Steam yet, but here's a quote from the .9 thread that somewhat answers your question. When version 3.2.9 arrives on Steam. How do I purchase the re-spec IAP ? Is it a DLC because other IAP for characters etc. don't come up when clicking the "more games" button. Desktop editions support Crystals of both type, but do not have casual play / IAP transactions. There is nothing you need to do on Steam aside from collect Crystals.

No I don't see it, it is the PC version if it matters You can re-spec with crystals in Steam or Desura version (pending update). Due to the inconsistency in IAP API support (wow, funny acronyms) we have not added re-spec unlock to these versions and do not have plans to do so at this time.

fallen , Cory TreseI find that to be a big mistake regardless of my feelings regarding this IAP. HOS now lacks feature parity across platforms. A customer who wants to purchase and use something available for the mobile cannot for PC. This is bad design and policy. This is something I truly hope you avoid doing in the future with TA2 and ST2 in the pipeline. I want to see TB succeed, which is why I'm posting this. Platform locked features are going to alienate a potential player base and possibly push current players away

CdrPlatypusYou can't right-click on a tablet but can on a PC. There are differences in the platform - some aspects are limitations of the OS, others are limitations of the hosting service. For the longest while, Cory Trese and fallen couldn't even give a copy of their elite games away on Google Play. You can't design for every single type of contingency and platform nuance ... the core of the game itself is consistent though ... the game mechanics, rules, and graphics for example. Yes, you can buy the Respec IAP on a tablet, but for me (people who play tablets and phones tend to be more casual players. People who are on PCs (and Macs) tend to play the same game for longer. As such, it's more likely that a PC player will invest the time to hunt for the crystals than a tablet player. I agree with you that the game should be as similar as you can within the constraints of the system, but it doesn't have to be identical.

UI adaption is completely seperate. I am talking about an actual feature. If a person has old groups they want to respec by purchasing the IAP they cannot do that on the PC. No where near related to UI differences
