As a note.. I recall having the 'Wanted' status, thanks to Thulun. I only had about -3 with Javat. Went to Javat, paid for Pardon.. 'Wanted' status was CLEARED! I'm not sure if this is a bug or not.
As another note. once you're hated by all. Only real way to get yourself out of it.. Is focus one or two govts solar/trade/spy wars. Keep attacking/spying on their enemies. eventually (and may take a LOOOOOONG time), you will get one friendly enough to buy a pardon. Once you have one friendly, use Trade Alliances, and the wars to get 1 or 2 others friendly again. For the Spy wars, when everyone hates you.. just do Surveillance on one.. to get the records, but SELL the records at independent (Or stockpile at a good cache planet to them cash-in later). Also, since you can land on hated-attitude planets (albeit not easily often), you can do missions from the spice-halls if lucky to help improve relations slowly.

Wanted status covers all clans or syndicates, so buying a pardon from one will clear the wanted flag. You'll still have the -ve rep with the other clans/syndicates, and the flag will come back next time you make a hostile action against someone who you have -ve rep.

Pardon does indeed clear that Wanted Flag.
In this case, Clan Javat lobbied the Council of Great Houses and convinced them abolish your wanted status.
However, the next time a Thulun Merchant fires a distress canister implicating your ship in piracy ... all the hard work of Clan Javat will be undone and you'll end up Wanted again!

Buy a pardon from a prince of the faction that hates you. Or you can: Rabid Rabbit walks up the steps to the entrance of the Palace. The courtiers moving to and from the structure glance at him distastefully as he is dressed in tight fitting combat fatigues and basic non-enviromental armor. Rabid Rabbit pays them no mind. His path takes him to the Justicar Office of External Affairs. The emblems of House Thulun adorn every other surface making everything look like little chicken chicks. There is no line. Excellent. A man, who seems rather tough, sits behind the counter while reading Templar Magazine. It seems to be rather popular. Rabid Rabbit raps on the bulletproof divisor with his gloved fist, "Hoy there." The man glances at him and grunts, "Yeah, what can I do for you?" "Is this were people pay for Pardons and all that shit?" "Yeah big man. Want to pay off your criminal debt? Cash only I'm afraid." The man smirked. A cynic. Rabid Rabbit liked him immediately. You had to have a certain sense of humor and outlook to work in a place were people could pay for blowing up ships and killing indiscriminately. Welcome to the quadrant: life had a monetary value. "Sure, look for Captain Rabbit." Rabid Rabbit dropped the bundle on his back and started unwrapping the black cloth.. The man was typing into his terminal, "Rad It?" "No, Rabbit. R a b b i t." "Ok gotcha. Odd name that one, only got six of them. Heh, Rabid Rabbit popped up too, if you can believe that psychotic fuck is still in the pardon database." Rabid Rabbit glanced up, "He is? He can buy a pardon?" "Oh no, its a note saying to call in military support if spotted. Seriously, like that freak would ever show up in a Thulun palace." "Yeah, that would be, " Rabid Rabbit stands up with his Jason Hockey mask affixed, "Just crazy no?" "Haha, buddy. You got that right ... hey you got a hockey mask just like ....oh fuck." The 'oh fuck' came at the moment Rabid Rabbit came up with the item he removed from the bundle, "I even got a chainsaw too." The diamond teeth weapon spined to life. "I'll be inside in a moment sir, don't worry, I only want the pardon money you've collected ... and maybe an arm or two, but the last is negotiable since I like you." rabid

I would, but I'm stilll waiting for Corey to include the button for that option in the next update! All that text won't fit on the button, but I guess it could simply say "Rabid" and you lose an extra 10 rep for using it

A "Rabid" button anywhere is a great idea! Please make that ST-4646!

Doesn't make sense that if you have -1000 rep with thulen and -3 rep with javat, you can buy a pardon with javat and you lose your wanted flag with thulen. I don't like that at all.
Also, it makes no sense that if you are wanted by de valtos, and you have -1 rep with them, you could buy a pardon from them and the wanted goes away, but at 0+ rep there's no way to remoe wanted status. If your wanted by syndacate richard, and u have pos rep with all 3 syndacates, you should be able to get a free pardon from wherever u are wanted.

That's a core concept in the game world, baked into every single part of the system.
I absolutely love this part of the Star Trader's Exodus political model. This isn't going anywhere, sorry!

How bout pardon price then is based on rep with not only that faction, but the other syndacates/clans as well. So if you have a -20 rep with de valtos, but 2000 rep with rihard and cadar, they'll give you a cheap pardon. But if you have a -3 rep with de valtos but a -10000 rep with the other 2 syndacates, they'll rank the pardon price quite a tad
Also I just wish there was a way to remove a wanted status once you have positive rep with all. Case I've had +3000 rep with all sndacates and still had a syndacate wanted flag with no way of removing it

Caught in the political snares of the Syndicate Senate -- makes life a bit complex for the average Star Trader.
The suggestion of the Syndicates honoring each other Reputation doesn't hold water with the game's world. so I don't foresee that making it onto the list of future changes.
Great discussion but the political model has too much work into it for these types of foundational changes!

But what's wrong with being able to buy a pardon if you've got pos rep with all factions to remove wanted status? Otherwize if I'm wanted by syndacates and I have pos rep with all of them, I have to intetionally iss of a syndacate an get neg rep just to buy a pardon and remove my wanted status. I was told eventuall if you've got pos rep the wanted status will go away by itself, but this isn't the case. With one f my captains, I had 3000 rep with all 3 syndacats, and still a syndacate wanted status. Even after 100+ years it still wasn't removed

It was basic, I don't remember class but if I had to guess id say BH or MO.
It was I think syndacate rchard I hd like a -150 rep with them at one time, but eventually I got my rep to over 1000 with them (as well as the other syndacates) and my wanted status never really went away.

Without concrete evidence, there's no way for Cory to even look into this, much less come up with a fix if it is indeed a problem. Besides that, it sounds like this is far back in your ST play history anyway, to be quite honest. As they say on the internet, "Pics, or it didn't happen."

What do u mean concret evidence? I have no reason to lie to cory about this. I'll make a new basic captain, replicate the resutls, and then I could be more detailed abut it if cory would like. And I could also take some pics for you BlastGTorp if you want. Se what I did there? I changed GT to GTorp. I know, I know. I'm very funny
