So I was in Braeysshaulm and was on the northeast road. I took it now I'm in the frozen underroad. Can I turn back? It hasn't let me so far...

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean, "can I go back to Braeyshalum?" If so, yes you can. Make sure your group is glommed (or very close together) when you approach the SW exit.

I'm not sure you can. I've tried to do that before and I'm unable to return until I complete the Gholla siege.

Maybe I've never tried to go back. Vraes said "Charge!" and I said "How far?" I guess, from a story perspective it would make sense that you can't return once you've heard that fateful din of battle. hissrad, have fun and hold on tight!

I did the exact same thing.
You have to complete Gholla quest before you can turn back.

Yeah, once the heroes realize that Gholla is under siege, they won't walk away.

You know the same thing happened when I poked a painting while exploring in dark souls. Can't leave until your finished, that's what I get for exploring:P I'm just glad I did my first! Is level 17 decent for this place?

I don't know, I've never hit it at 17. I'm normally about 23 or 27 when I get there. It's one of the toughest fights in all of E2. Did you buy new weapons in Braeyshalum!?

Well I did get a lot of good\expensive loot when I went after Valent so I was able to update everyone's stuff. I'll have to remember not to wander out that gate untill I'm ready next time. Ah well I think we'll be able to muddle through...I've come to far to restart now,I'll figure something out

You're in for a fun surprise soon. It might even seem a little strange given the timing of how you're going through the E2 content. I would recommend that you completely clear out the Frozen Underroad level as the chests in there will contain an even higher tier of loot and you're going to need everything you can get you hands on.
Edit: Oh and save every potion you can too!

Well got through the first battle, they were a tougher then I was expecting! We got through with only using 1SP potion for Vraes. Fyona had to heal Vincent a few times, for some reason Orcin javeliner's like to target him first. Selen is really kicking butt though! While the rest were focusing on Vraes she took down a War Troll almost by herself(Vincent had to poke it and run away a couple times)
Will going this way mess with the story? Dealing with Braeys and Koda's fighting seemed urgent...

I don't think you ever actually run out of time. Going back to the very start at red keep, they did a good job of making it sound important to escape as quick as possible... I always take my time on every level to explore every nook and cranny though. Yeah... sure... being hunted by war hunds but there might be a chest around that other corner... full of potions for me to horde...

The loot in there is pretty sweet! Now if the Orcin would just lay off the curses and javelinner's I'd be ok:)
