My turn for a challenge, let's throw down.
- Begin a new game, and boost in. - Each character may spend Skill and Attribute points how they see fit. - Once Skill and Attribute points have been allocated, each character must then select a single talent to bring to the highest level, then the remaining point/s may be spent how you see fit. - Who cares about difficulty. - Its all about how far you can get, and if the group is viable or not.
My first soiree into this will be: - Vraes with maxed Phalanx, then one into Savage Sweep I think. - Vincent with maxed Energy Storm or Lightning Spear, not sure yet, with points into Flash Freeze - Fyona with maxed Strickening, then she starts on Shield of Cortias or waits for Reckoning. - Selen with maxed Quicksilver Defense, then Dance of Shadows until +2 mp
Front line is Selen and Vraes, who will be dealing decent damage, but the lack of a parry/dodge curse means they will rely on Strickening and Flash Freeze to make enemies easier to hit. Their primary goal will be to gather everyone into a nice big glob so Strickening can hit as many targets as possible, then just ruin their day with LS or ES.
Vincent will be wrecking things with Fyona's Strickening paired with ES, but for SP efficiency I may just stick with LS and put the two into FF for the AoE, then work on Thundering Blades.
Your turn!

Just going to put it out there...
Strickening 10 is AMAZING.
Strickening 10 at level 17 pretty much breaks the game.
I might redo the party with Kincaid and KJ, though. Footwork 10 and Immolation 10 then start on Crippling Strikes and Ash to work that AoE and curse aspect.

I doubt it... Bringing Strickening straight to 10 truly weakens everything else but damage. That's no heals whatsoever, and only one point into anything else. Any talent at level 10 is OP if you don't do anything else, but that power comes with a huge sacrifice...

The skills I really want to see used at level 10 are: Berserk Rage 10, Juggernaut 10, Steel and Shadow 10, Firestorm 10 and Ranged Onslaught 10.
Bonus points to any one who brings a lock, trap or scouting skill to 10.

I've got enough groups going at the moment and have yet to pick up the IAP, so we'll see. The Scandinavian in me militates against 1) spending money and 2) doing something the easy way when it could be done more difficultly. The appeal of Berserk Rage 10 is enticing though. Maybe combined with Myshana's Tears 10?

Tears? Maybe Warder's Shield 10
It's worth it, imo. Then again, I was getting so unbelievably bored with the game (the first chapter anyway), so being able to skip all that and get straight to the good stuff was worth it and then some.

En1gma, my other problem with Boost-in is that you miss the Red Hill Rampage, which is one of the funnest points in the game, especially when you get to take Geraux over your knee and tell him what a bad boy he's been. I'm going to give you a personal challenge. That I think will help you get over your boredom. 1) Take the best group you have made so far, or one of the other solid builds posted by somebody else on the forum, and play them all the way through the available content trying to die as few times as possible. 2) Go up one difficulty level from where you are at right now. When you have to commit to one group and one strategy it brings a new level of challenge and fun to the game and playing the late game content keeps you from replaying the same content over and over again. It almost feels good when you do start a new group and go back to the good ole days when life was simple and everybody just targeted Vraes and stayed in one place.

But.... Then that means I would need to play the first episode again..... I don't know buddy, I'm thinking I'll move up for the next game they release... I just can't play E1 anymore, but I do know what you're saying. Boost-in is the best thing to happen to this game for me, it lets me get back to the part of the game that I have the most fun with- build experimentation

Lol it used up about two thirds of my sp but the first hit in the storerooms was 234. I giggled a bit as a veteran ratkin went splat.
