The State of the war is unchanged with a stalemate with the nyktos on the north eastern and north central fronts and the sidtax occasionally poking the south west flank.

There seems to be an issue with the thaw cycle on my cryostasis chamber, my fingers are still a bit frozen... brrrrrr... Ah... warm coffee, thank you ntsheep. mmmmm. WHAT! Only the Templar ( CdrPlatypus) and I were sent to our cryo chambers! Outrageous. sputter sputter, ras-a-frasa, no good... son of a.... Bahaha, I told Jerry to tell you it was just a prank! He gets so distracted sometimes... Anyway, I'm glad my design suggestions are up to snuff. Is there any way Commander CdrPlatypus can get us up to speed on our current Research, Political Climate, and Current Tech Level? (Or point us to the proper pages?) |

En1gma State of the State: 3x Trade Alliance, lvl 6 Starship Construction (but not all the vertical research. In particular need better reactors), Researching Planetary Construction 9 (AKA Hab 4) Also A newly commissioned fleet of ntsheep warbarges with some experimental modifications is en route to the north central front to gather with our remaining veteran warbarges that are repairing to attempt another push. However we are light on ships designed for ship to ship combat. we need new designs for fighters (all types torp/assault/scout/heavy) and cruisers. Any input is welcome. The High Templar asks that you open your command consoles ( your own copy of ST4X) and refer to the tech tree to get an idea of what we have access to. (//OOC I don't have time to type it all out as I was before)

Commander, once research on PC-9, can we perhaps fill out a few of the vertical research concerning Reactors, then fill out the SC-3 Weapon research (if we haven't already). Once we have the foundations for our upgraded fleet, we can then begin pushing to even out the two sides of our tree. We have more than enough researched on the Planetary side, we must use what upgrades can be built, and reinforce our ship building aspects.
As a diplomat for the Shipwrights, the fact that our ship technology isn't farther along makes my skin crawl. We MUST update our fleet, and quickly.
In my memoir thread concerning Ship Designs and Fleet Formations, I have developed and run countless simulations in our lengthy absence, posting the results therein. Perhaps some of these designs could be adapted for our needs?

I have a weekend treat for you guys. En1gma, ntsheep, hissrad, tenbsmith, Officer Genious, @rearick, torvus, bookworm21The High Templar took a break from slaying Xeno's himself with the battle force (because he wants it done right!) and lead an invasion that has successfully purged three systems of the dreaded Nyktos in the North central cluster. It has been a massive slugfest and many brave souls were lost. Shulan honor them! The following systems are now up for grabs: First come first serve: New Canaan: Quality 16 / Minerals 16 Traggath: Quality 10 / Minerals 13 Hell's Razor: Quality 7 / Minerals 12 Colonizing these systems will be perilous for they are the new frontline in the crusade against the Nyktos, but it must be done to secure humanities future. |
