One order of business: discussions have begin, and it is of importance that we share our musings. The Shipwrights have brought to our attention that they have yet to produce anything. They argue that a defensive line must be established and that the Templar Defenders will only go so far, formidable as they are. Therefore, Alta Mesa is willing to undertake production of a pair of basic attack vessels, so that we may begin our most important duty of protecting the quadrant, and our fledgling colonies. However as this may come at a great sacrifice to our own development, should the other factions express a willingness to share this burden we would not object whatsoever.

Honorable Mesa Representative. Since I have heard that game mechanics dictate that even distribution of resources leads to better co-op between factions. Anyone else remember this from tutorials/threads?

I just dont want us to get to a constant stream
of embargoes and trade wars if we don't have to.

Honored faction representatives I am grateful you have reached a consensus on our research path for the foreseeable future. I will direct our scientists to research Planetary Construction 2 => Faction Politics 2 => Planetary Construction 4. I feel we need to reach Hab Units 2 before Faction politics 3. We have many refugees in need of habitable space.

Our first 3 colonies will continue to develop a solid mining and industrial base then upon reaching a capacity of 4CP each faction will begin construction on a colony ship. This is the Templar's command. We must provide new housing for the many survivors of humanity. We can afford to wait a little while longer before rebuilding our military. While absolutely necessary we need more colonies first (we must build additional pylons).

On to the next order of business. The High Consular of Alta Mesa En1gma has requested lixxx235 be promoted to a representative of Alta Mesa. I see no reason to object given his honorable record. I welcome you to this council.

I must ask you to convene the council again immediately to determine where each of your clans will settle next (see cartography post on first page of this thread). I know you are all tired by I expect a consensus by Sunday 3PM PST. If consensus is not reached I will arbitrate for the good of the Empire in the name of Shulun.

Clan Moklumnue would like to claim Planet Flamesong. It's proximity to our Prime world and it's mediocre mineral content make it suitable for us.

We'll turn it into a mint in no time.

Clan Moklumnue respects the Templar's right to determine research priorities without further comment. However, we would like to put forward the proposal to start working on a trade summit as soon as it is researched in order to grease the wheels of our colonys' progress.

I have not completed running the current turns yet, but I have found some nice new systems while sending the fleet out exploring at En1gma 's suggestion.

South of Prime's there are two yellow stars: Extreth minerals 4-14 / quality 8-26 ; Afcrone minerals 2-18 / quality 7-25
Far west of Primes yellow star G'Vorcia minerals 4-18 / quality 7-25

North and slightly west there is a red star: Slayer's Folly mineral 11-29 / quality 2-20

Beyond these we are starting to encounter mainly empty deep space I will send the fleet out a little farther than bring them back for defense

Quick update. I processed some turns and currently every prime colony has 3 habs, 1 factory, and 1 spice hall (for the +1 research), few mines, and each prime will soon complete a colony ship. Researching to exchange 1 atm

If there are no objections, Alta Mesa would be happy to claim Bomia's Landing as our own. We are in need of a second system, and for our needs, BL is optimal.
