I was considering this as a serious idea, because I feel it actually represents what ST2 is, buuuut... nah.

Star Traders Destiny (STD)?
Seriously though it seems like there should be some good possibilities with the generational idea. Such massive change happens in the first 200 years AE of the Star Traders. What is the first generation to have no experience of the exodus, who know nothing of the hives, other than their derelict hulks, which must be constantly retrofitted, repurposed or recycled to make room for the new cities that are emerging?
Are they Generation N (new), Generation G (grav/gate), Generation R (Rim), the Chaos Generation or Millennials? Maybe they become known as Neos, Rimmers, Destins, Gravs, Boomers, Builders, Founders, Fronters, Gaters, Nouvelles, Meshers, Integrals, Jumpers, Libbers, Libertés, Autons. Maybe there is something more unique to the game, a slang term that gets adopted to describe the new generation of Spacers and what they are accomplishing.
All this is just food for thought, anything above could be reconfigured with some combination of Star Traders or Generation.
Just gotta tack these on too. Shalun's Children, Children of Shalun, Shalun's Race/Branch/Line

Yes, I had been thinking along those lines as well, although you have articulated them much more clearly than I had in my head. Thank you for that. Time difference also kind of comes in as a factor as well. 200 years might be 5-10 generations for Gravs, but I'm guessing only 1-3 generations for Spacers (or would it be the reverse... longer life = more childbearing years?) |

But it would be cool for the title to be a hint to the unfolding story...
