@speedy - we collapsed the option and made high speed the default speed for the game. Overall, the game plays much faster. I hope that you come to appreciate it! Please keep us udpated. Personally I preferred the slow movement with the footstep sounds. This fast default speed and lack of footsteps just doesnt feel or sound right to me. I don't like the fast speed at all. A real shame you didnt leave the option to choose. :-(

Oh I am sure you are, I just dont understand why the choice was taken away. Would not the best thing for the game to be to give the player the choice, expecially as the original speed and sound effects were implemented in the past. But anyway, your game, you do what you think is best. Goodluck.

Options are very expensive to maintain in a large code-base, especially with the other changes that are coming down the pipe (fast enemy turn). Is it the speed or lack of SFX that bugs you? Or both?

I miss the SFX myself but love the speed. My 2 cents

I concur with gundam, when I have sound turned on the lack of footsteps down plays map travel too much. If I need to travel I wanna hear it since my group is often off screen.
Maybe at some point you could try a sound for each armor the lead chars wear... Also if a char has a speed/mp boost speed may increase accordingly?

We are working on bringing the SFX back, but sound editing is one of the most time expensive tasks we have on our lists. We hope to get there.

It is both as I said in my previous post. I see you are being responsive to people that are asking for only the footstep sounds to be reimplemented. That is good but I think it will sound a bit ridiculous as the footsteps will have to be running step sounds. As I said before I did not think it would be too much to ask to have the option to choose if you wanted to simply go back to the original walking speed and sounds. But I am neither a developer or a programmer. I am just a gamer. And it seems I was obviously the only player that really liked the way it was before. You say it is too difficult to give that option then I accept that. But please at least tell me you wont do the same thing to Templar Battleforce before I spend more money on the iPad version of that game.

But please at least tell me you wont do the same thing to Templar Battleforce before I spend more money on the iPad version of that game. Thanks for continuing the conversation. We're in a gathering feedback mode to decide how to proceed. Adding back SFX seems like it would make most people happy. Yes, they'd have to be footsteps more like running, as the new speed shows the characters jogging the dungeons. Templar Battleforce has an option for "Fast Enemy Turn" which is extremely popular. The enemy turn goes very fast without movement or attack animations. It's general movement speed is closer to the speed that you see Heroes moving now. There is no option to slow down the pace of the movement.
