Just completed hardcore-speedrun on Ironman. After first Ironman game (301 turns with tutorial missions) i decided to try and beat the game with hardcore rules (no templar deaths) under 300 turns. That'd be an interesting goal considering 1.2.13 turn records changes, which added 36 turns total.
It took me 5 tries. First 4 were abandoned due to templar death :-( Two times lost templars on closing doors in Airlock Chambers and Tundeer. Seriously, those doors are evil :-D One time lost Dalan on Lich level trying new tactics :-\ Lost scout at Tundeer trying new tactics as well.
Last mission has been completed on turn 5(turn records said 6) with lifetime record of 291 turns and 10M Honor. As for the last mission tactics - had to use scout with Piercing Fire 10 and Power Gauntlet to speed up killing of the Hive Mind. Also Nyra and soldier killed Worm on their side instead of running to the Captain. I suppose that with good luck and the good team of Captain(with -armor\deflection debuff), soldier(RC,grenades), paladin(enhancers) and 3 scouts (melee, one with PF10 taken) it should be possible to kill Hive Mind on turn 3.
It was short range squad - melee captain, paladin, plasma soldiers and engineeres with good fists. Heavy buffs usage as well. Scout were hardly ever used (only for fast movement), except the last mission. Invested RP into Hydra's Inferno Seal to test it, but had no possibility to use Hydra afterward. Really liked this playthrough and squad, so will probably start replay with it.

alvazir, very nice! I just updated my spreadsheet but it looks like a snail compared to yours :-) Interestingly, I also had 10M honor (Android) with my Ironman squad but had a much higher turn count than yours. I didn't have any deaths, either. Was your squad count over 10? When I was at 12 and dismissed 2 templars, my score went up almost 0.8M

When I was at 12 and dismissed 2 templars, my score went up almost 0.8M 9 templars ("default" assigned by game + 2nd engineer and paladin), no dismissed. Android here as well (Amazon, as i don't want to use google services on this phone). AFAIK Honor = sum of all your Templars's Honor, which is, as i suppose, a function of both Templar's kills(kills/turn?) and turn counts(number of engagements?). My game was faster, yours had more brutally destroyed screaming xenos :-D Offtopic: just noticed mail/female signs on forum and for some reason i had "female" assigned :-D

alvazir, I think it is sum of first 10 templars and average of all templars. I'm surprised your low turn count didn't get a much higher score than mine. Maybe with more turns, I was able to bring in more Templars and get more XP?

Maybe with more turns, I was able to bring in more Templars and get more XP? Have just loaded the previous game. Stats are: 301 turns, 799 kills, 2.7 per turn, 8.7M. More recent game stats are: 291 turns, 802 kills, 2.8 per turn, 10M. Also, i had 2 "extra" templars recruited at Deck 7 and never used again in the previous game. Attempted to dismiss them and immediately went from 8.7M to 10.4M. All these numbers make me think that: 1. Honor calculations are probably a bit more complicated and may involve more factors(secondaries % completion for example). 2. Honor calculations may have changed with updates.

Just completed a new hardcore Ironman game with 11.1M score.
Cleared Kaldun Factory along the way. First time i got there my squad was literally devastated due to me choosing wrong paths. This time i was a bit scared, but it turned out to be doable if you know approximately where to go :-) Kaldun's missions are among the most interesting in game due to intensity, as good as Detonation Site, Starport Vaul and Extermination Protocol.
It was not a speed run (298 turns), so it seems mission quantity matters more than completion speed for score.
Dear Dalan got level 21 after killing Hive Mind :-)

It seems like a lot of the score is based on having the most experience and the right number of Templars.
In other news, I got Extermination By Fire down to 6 turns and just realized that I could even do 5. That would be under a quarter of the turn limit.

Yikes, updated my brutal squad, which in my defense was my first play-through, and saw that I topped out at an impressive 522 total turns for the entire play through. Looks like I got a very slow and steady pace compared to you dudes!
