I would like to give a huge shout out to CdrPlatypus and all of our other awesome Patreons on this release. Thanks CdrPlatypus for the sage advice on how to make Heroes of Steel more fun. I look forward to taking up the rest of your advice soon. I'd say give CdrPlatypus or any one you see marked with a [Patreon] badge a big +1 for the 308 new weapons and 77 new armors.

I just want to make sure I understand the new armor and weapons correctly. In E1, the gear is definitely better than what you could find before. However, in E2+ the new armor/weapons are of similar quality to what you would find in those parts of the map, but significantly more variety?

However, in E2+ the new armor/weapons are of similar quality to what you would find in those parts of the map, but significantly more variety? In E1, the Gear got an up-balance. It is now fun, more better. Throughout the entire game (E1 - E4) the loot tables for weapons and armor have doubled in size. Now added into the roller are new weapons and armor featuring magical properties. They are of similar quality, but things you could never find before. In Red Hill, in one of the first chests in the caves, I picked up Throwing Knives with +3% Critical. A little while later, I saw a bow with 4% SP Drain.

Awesome! This is a great update! Just the two examples you gave already open up a lot more play options than were possible before. For example, with some early %SP drain items, you could have a Vraes ferocity build without Kyera as a SP backup.

How to return the old combat music? It still appears on some levels.

...seems like I'm playing with music off from now on. The game just lost a great deal of appeal.

Awesome! New items, means a good reason to re-play, and with that dream team I was thinking about.
Quick note: I notice that the new movement lights on the floor don't take into account tiles that take two MP to cross over!
