Scenario: Cadar, Thulun, Alta Mesage 5 Xenos To join the game, PM Cory Trese your e-mail address so I can add you to the Google Docs folder. Here is the play log so far: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iJmBVL1uLSa9lMI89Ck1RQdneKmXRYX84jZ3u0wg3J4/edit#gid=0Player Treaties and Regulations- Each player will name their game_X.zip file based on their order in the turn. For example, if I was playing the 17th set of turns, say turn 815 to 865, I would store my finished game file as game_17.zip
- Each player should run between 26 and 52 turns.
Current Undecided Issues- How many players are required to keep it moving?
- Overall Strategy and RP plan?
How To Setup a Game for Shared- Create a New Game in Star Traders 4X named "Shared Game 1", select Normal + The Garden.
- Once the game loads far enough that you can see the map, close Star Traders 4X.
- Open your saved game folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactionWars\ and sort by Date modified
- The newest game_X.db is one you just created. We will overwrite this with the game we download.
- Download the latest game_X.zip file from Google Drive and extract it to a temporary folder.
- Rename the extracted files to match the game you identified above. Example, you extract game_101.db and renamed it to game_3.db as well as game_101_region_22.fog to game_3_region_22.fog

Sent you a PM, totally interested.
My ideas for the issues:
1)maybe just a simple "game_x" where x = our order. Meaning, you did the first turn so you are 1, next person is 2, then 3, etc.
2) You did about 50, so 50 sounds good? If too much, maybe 25?
3) Well, since you chose some good military factions, why not take a bit of an aggressive strategy. Build up a basic economy, and then focus on the military!

I added you to the shared folder. When you are ready to play, just log your entry into the Player Tracker and upload your game.db and fog file as a zip.
Since you're playing this weekend, you might need to check Player Tracker to see if any other Faction leadership has stepped up and already moved past game_1

I think if we could get 3-5 players it would move along at a pretty good pace.

I can't do it because I don't have a computer that I an really use, aside from my tablet or phone, but I am willing to stand by as and adviser to the Zendu Senate, should they wish it.

I think it's only a matter of time before we need help. As we go we can post topics to discuss in our Turn Reports as well as screen shots to help keep our advisor in the loop =)

I can help with the save game transfer -- it is really just downloading the file, renaming it, and putting it into your 4X folder. I invited you. We now have 3 Faction Princes playing =)

Ok, I've signed up both En1gma and johndramey for turns in the turn tracker. After some more experimentation, it seems best to play one year at a time for now, so that's what i filled in for turns. If you play less, just adjust your row in the spreadsheet.

Dah, weekend was a lot more hectic than I thought it would be. I'll hopefully be able to grab a turn soon. En1gma, feel free to go first here, I've got to find a time where both I'm free and the wife is not at home, haha.

The Factions will flex their muscles at the first opportunity they get. Keep them under a firm grasp, lest they think they can do what they wish. If you need me, I will be twnding to my Leviathan.

Affirmative, Commanders. I will execute our directives to the best of my ability for our first (second? I'm already confused here- Cory Trese, are you running the first year?) year as a new entity in this Quadrant. (As soon as I figure out how to load the game, anyway... I will work to figure this out at some point today, as I am doing quite a bit of Christmas shopping.)

Understood, Commander.
I will be attempting to extract the game and run my cycle tonight or tomorrow, so standby for my report.
Being the Garden, on Normal, does the Council feel that we should push to get three separate system clumps colonized as quickly as possible? I have played a few games on this map and have found that against as many Xeno as we face, this is a highly effective strategy, as it allows a formidable base of operations. - If the council wishes it, I can direct new Colony Ships to undergo the taking of three new worlds nd solidify our place among these stars. - If not, I can continue scouting operations as normal and focus solely on quelling the negative politics affecting our Alliance, while building our existing colonies. I only fear that the Xeno may begin colonizing the inner ring, disrupting our long-term colonization strategy.
Does the council wish to build any warships?
Should I focus on economic technologies, or would a balanced approach be better here? I am of an alternating strategy- get to a decent level of colony tech, so that out colonies have enough projects to hold them over, then switch to Fighter Tech, or moving to Cruiser Tech so we can respond properly to any Xeno threats. To unlock the Technologies is not to say that they would be immediately used, but we would have them at our beck and call should the need arise.
I eagerly await any input on these matters, but should none arrive before I take my cycle, I shall strive to bring honor to the Templar Order, and conduct myself in a manner which benefits us all.
