En1gma - whatever you think is best during your term, councilor I like the idea of this game in that, you don't want to be in charge when the game goes down the tubes! Its like a 4X version of hot potato!

Yep. No idea how to find the file. Emailed you, Cory Trese ... Sorry to hold the game up, but I'm an absolute noob when it comes to actually doing things with my PC... If anyone else wants to take my cycle, feel free until I can figure this thing out

En1gma - happy to try to help ... here are the steps Cory posted -- which one are you getting stuck on? How To Setup a Game for Shared1. Create a New Game in Star Traders 4X named "Shared Game 1", select Normal + The Garden. 2. Once the game loads far enough that you can see the map, close Star Traders 4X. 3. Open your saved game folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactionWars\ and sort by Date modified. This folder is most likely in C:\Users\<YOU>\AppData\Local\FactionWars\ 3. The newest game_X.db is one you just created. We will overwrite this with the game we download. 4. Download the latest game_X.zip file from Google Drive and extract it to a temporary folder. 5. Rename the extracted files to match the game you identified above. Example, you extract game_101.db and renamed it to game_3.db as well as game_101_region_22.fog to game_3_region_22.fog

I'm e-mailing with Cory, but it seems that my computer isn't storing anything in regards to appdata in any place that I look for it...
My main issue is not having any idea where my pc is keeping these files, and searches of my entire computer's files result in nothing....
I hate Windows sometimes... Remote Access, anyone??

En1gma - what version of Windows are you running? Search your computer for core.db -- see where it turns up. Are you folder options showing hidden files? AppData is hidden by default.

En1gma, Since you don't do much with Windows, that's very likely it: If someone hasn't changed this option on your computer, the Windows default is to not show hidden files, in which case they won't show up in a search. I can probably walk you through how to change this option (depending on version).

I'll be able to hopefully play some over the holiday since my wife will most likely take a nap. When she's napping, I shall strike!

Here is the basic step by step:
- Create a New Game in ST 4X - Find that game_X.db file in Explorer - Overwrite that game_X.db file with the zip file's .db file - Play your turns - Zip up your game_X.db file and upload to Google
My game is game_101.db and yours might be game_17.db
You'll need to rename game_101.db to game_17.db when you load my game.
When I load yours, I'll rename 17 to 101.
When you do "New Game" in the ST 4X client, it makes a new game_X.db file, where X is a new unique number, one larger than the last one.
So because I've created 101 games, that is my ID. If you are creating your 18th game, you'd get game_18.db
