gravismetallum - We call it the Dream Weapon. 1) Augment human body with bio-energy ports on the both forearms to power implements of destruction. 2) Modify 2 chainsaws to hook-up with an extandable-upon-mental-command hose that attaches to the aforementioned ports with electromagnetic lock-on coupling. 3) Teeth on said chainsaw are hollow-tipped to allow fluid to flow out from internal reservoir that alters chemical make-up of blood to a form of flammable acid. 4) The handles of the chainsaws are ergonomically designed to be used like a Claymore blade with triggers to fire highly volatile ball lightning at 10 rounds per second. 5) Due to the flammable qualities of the acid, you could ignite the chainsaws by releasing the fluid and trigger the plasma at the same time to ignite your chainsaws on fire. Now, get ready for the Cybernetic God-of-War: Mentos! ;D Seriously, how Baked were you when you wrote this? LOL. the only way to power the suit is with a mini arc reactor like Tony Stark... only way to get enough charge. edit: No... wait...you were watching G4, they were showing Cut scenes from newest Deus Ex on PS3...you spit out your coffee...and went to turn the volumn up. you inadvertently hit the aux button and a Mentos commercial came on during a crucial Cut scene. just kidding. that game is sick too. what I could make if I had a couple Mil to spend on developing/publishing/etc.

@los- Deus Ex have flaming acid-edged extendable Chainsaw Nunchucks that can fire lightning balls?
BTW, I already have an idea of a commercial to market this weapon.
Scene: Frail-looking Cyber-knight looks around the corner and notices an army of Mars Corp Heavy security patrol with a fleet of drones flying above their head.
Cyber-Kinght pops a minty chewy candy in his mouth, pulls out the portable weapon of mass destruction and dashes toward the swarming mass of hostlie enemies. *Jingle starts* Do do do dooo, do do do waaaah! It doesn't matter what comes, flesh burns ending a life, With Mentos, flesh torn taking lives! Nothing gets to you, fryin' fresh, stayin' cool, With Mentos, flesh chopped taking lives! Flesh sliced better, Mentos Fleshness, Flesh diced better; with Mentos, flesh ripped taking lives!
After the carnage, the narrator says, "Mentos, the Flesh-Ripper!"

blackgauntlet LOL Mentos is doin pretty damn good in the dark future if they started funding weapon research as well as that bizzar mix of solidified chemicals they call candy or breathmints or whatever. I'm sure we all know about its volitile properties when mixed with diet soda.

Hurts as bad as an acid-edged extendable chainsaw on fire?

The saddest thing of all... The damn Mentos commercial hasn't changed. Its still one of the cheesiest, most annoying jingles ever. We cannot escape it.
"I'd buy that for a dollar!" but seriously...its still a better commercial than the one for the 6000 SUX. Thankfully it isn't false advertising after all! ;-)

@los - You mean the fact that it's called the 6000 "SUX"? ;D nyktos - If you wish to create a Technocratic New World Order or singlehandedly rebel against a Cyborg Empire, yes you may. ;D

Hmm, aside from gambling mini-games, what else would a cyberknight (or cyberpunk!) do?
Well, it seems like arena activities would be in. There could be ranked ladders and prizes for winning within each gang. The normal combat system could be used for this, or some other choice-based dueling mechanic.
Then there definitely would have to be motorcycle racing, although without 3D acceleration coded in it might not feel like much of a race (too much time for a mini-game, imo). There could be creative ways to design the races though in a turn based context.
What else would an NBZ cyborg do? Bar-fights seem appropriate, so a bar-fight mini-game with a % chance you get thrown out before you can start one.
Finally, I would imagine cyborgs would play basically games themselves with other cyborgs (like RISK, or Connect-4, or etc.. etc..)

lodfan "+1" Arena combat makes sense especially with all the gangs around, you could bet on other fights or bet on yourself should you join in. Motorcycles! Few things fit in a dark future as much as gangs and motorcycles. I'm not a fan of the motorcycle thing myself(I suck at any racing game, cept gocarts) but I would certainly wager on them,or sabotage/upgrade cycles as appropriate. Bar fights where its just a test of skills rather than an actual battle,I like it. Dont know about cyborgs in nbz playing board games. Cyborgs round here are built more for combat rather than cereberal activities,so arm wrestleing?,testing raw strength as well as mind(willpower?).

+1 to the Arena idea, perhaps it should be a must in a game like CK... And +1 to the simple card game in bars, nothing of complex(i dont want a Magic game xD),but something like pazaak or triple triad or also a like-chess game with different moves/arts could be great =)

Geez... he's joking! Where's your sense of humor, man? Taken out by chainsaws? ;D If it's boardgames, I vote "Battleships"... with REAL cannons.

Seems some of the classics could work here. Five finger fillet, shells, dice, Russian roulette.
