Excuse me? What're you talking about? I'm on Hydri-Thulon Prime, buddy. Everything's fine. Are you sure you didn't accidentally kill off someone else? To be honest, anyways, why would you kill thulun? We're not at war. This is more of a personal war between Javat and I:/ You brought this on yourselves, anyways. Clan Javat just seems to have a vendetta against me> Oh, are you the guy killing my allies? My most embarrassing death? Was about to fight a merchant... accidentally pressed surrender... literally just afterwards, bounty hunter of the same faction ripped me a new one. That or the time I surrendered to an alien.... no wait THAT IS the most embarrassing death.

I've had a lot of embarrassing deaths. Including one time while taking advantage of a Solar War, I lost my Trade Permit, forgot to re-buy it, then surrendered to a hostile ship of that faction who executed my captain. Well, not really executed, but I was carrying banned goods and captain's health was very low, so when the ship was searched he got injured and died from his wounds. Another embarrassing death: while in the middle of a risky battle I had a real-world interruption, and while trying to put away my phone, forgot to turn it off first and my fingers ended up pressing the wrong buttons in battle.

Got it, my most embarrassing death, as of recently... I died to a De Valtos... because I wouldn't give up during the fight, as I was blockading their world. I hit blockade after the previous battle like an idiot, despite taking some damage, after all, it's just De Valtos, right? Anyway, then I took some heavy damage, alright... ran out of ammo......... My character was not built to board, and as such, was killed...

Lesson of the day? DV merchants are not target practice!

Is that aimed toward me or poryg? If me, I died to a bounty hunter.

No, it is just a coincidence the merchant that killed me was from Rychart.

I was attacking De Valtos. In general, just De Valtos. What they were didn't affect me... but they were De Valtos, so I attacked.

So they sent bounty hunters after you...
So... Using merchants as target practice = bounty hunters

Another most embarrassing death: well, not so much embarrassing as frustrating, but in my earlier attempts at Crazy difficulty, I had a trigger-happy captain who was too ... trigger happy, getting on the bad side of the wrong people, and as a result encountered a long endless series of hostile ships, pirates, bounty hunters, and the like. He won the first few battles, but it took a heavy toll on his ship and crew. Eventually he was down to 0 torps, 0 guns, 0 sails, 0 engines (well, you get 1-2 engines back after the battle, but they pretty much get blown out immediately in the next encounter). He tried to land somewhere for repairs, but the bounty hunters and pirates just kept coming. Of course, he was basically a sitting duck -- no engines to escape, no torps/guns to fight back, the only thing that kept him going was high warrior/strength. It wasn't long before he was down to 1 crew (himself!) too. And he still can't land without encountering yet another hostile ship. And finally, the inevitable, as his health steadily plunged to 0 in spite of being a valiant warrior to the end.

Attempted highest difficulty. Got mutinied to death because still an idiot when it comes to WF management. Thinking I need to learn how to make maximum use of Luxury Rations. Perhaps a Zealot for cheap rations, coupled with high Negotiate? Don't know. Need to stop being lazy and actually go study how the bloody game functions. Trying to figure it out as I play hasn't been going well, judging from my series of latest deaths.
