Here's a good one. High level MO built up enough to waste the largest xenos on Hard. He has his 20 ships all specialized and based strategically in every area, with that one slot open for a dream ship. He had cached a few k of T2O abouts the Quad.Ask the factions, they all held him in high regard despite many of there vessels now littering space.
Then, he got cocky. He began to shuttle his ships in some nasty red spaces, driving a killing machine there, but buying the cheapest junk he could find to head back.
The Indy pirate was hostile, but we'd never lost exempt from those humiliating Newb surrenders of hundreds of AE past.
Yet the pirate closed, dodging guns. No fear we targeted engines...and got hit by his puny guns! Then his advantage on the board...but who cared, we'd slaughtered xenos, right?
Hammer away at duel button like a noob. Puny rig holds up... crew dies quickly but who cares...xenos blah blah...hammer duel... who needs to read text until...captain has been killed... done... game over lol
Oh yeah. I only had wf on board. Not even a L-Rat lmao

I forgot which faction I worked for and surrendered to an enemy merchant ship. Insta-execution in less than five minutes of game time.

I clicked "Fight" on a Mutiny screen knowing full well I had 1 HP left.

I have since learned to study my factions carefully before going ANYWHERE in my games, lol. Oh my Queen (I believe you have the name here?) I grieve with for your captain! I totally agree with you on keeping up on your politics! After every move! I don't budge so much as an AU after any operation until I check my politics. And even if it's the captain i just played a few hours ago I make sure of everything before I resume after a break! |

Oh the shame I bring thee Javat! 62.43 crazy difficulty run dead. MO who, yes, does surveillance prior to contract, but no, didn't flee the equal level yet twice build target...maybe he SHOULD have been a miner! Lol I had my 3 officers too already! And three factions with rank and permit!
I LOVE this game...think I'm gonna stop off on my Hard ship Star Trader class because I just bought ship builder and this guy has done well.
Btw the Javalin is an amazing ship if you want a great all around like a second ship usually is. I'm going to post it later in a thread I saw but wow.

Decked out Alien Hunter with the most expensive and awesome custom ship possible.
Tons of Weaps and the slickest upgrades.
Might try this Ram thing against a little Pirate. Will Escape Shuttle if it goes pear shaped.
Vented into space, forgot to install the Escape Shuttle.

The underestimated might that is Javat leaves many of the great red and yellow chicken shredded. Mmmmm, shredded chicken tacos al Thulun...I don't buy L-rats, this is what MY crew prefers to eat. |
