The v4.2.11 update for Heroes of Steel on Steam brings some improvements to a few Talents, improves to the UI when using items, and a set of bug fixers for story related issues. Kjartan's Burning Blades and Vincent's Thundering Blades have both gotten a boost at level 10, helping make the decision to take these Talents all the way to the top eaiser. The Farsight and Sly Look Talents now put a momentary red highlight over a trap tile so that it is clear exactly which tile is trapped. Note that this highlight will also show over sprung traps that are now difficult terrain, so you can see the places that will cost 2 AP to cross. Whenever you use an item of any type, a text confirmation is now shown on screen -- something like Buffs Extended, or Character Buffed! will appear briefly to confirm the successful use of the item. We're always working hard to improve, so this release also includes fixes to a number of story bugs to help specific users. We are now hard at work on the next chunk of Episode 4 content. OK, i expulsed the weaver and solved the riddle with the three chests then. Your fix worked. Now, i have to see, where to turn next in the journey.

Question with the Vraes rework: is he getting one of his talents overhauled like Tamilin did or just the visual? I know you have changed BR recently and explained Juggernaut more in depth. This is not meant to be a "Vraes needs a rework!" plea but just genuinely curious if Vraes is going to get something added to his kit. I would love him to get something that lets him compete with Flanking Unity more, maybe something to NM? Something I always thought would be cool is if it added a counter mechanic to Vraes, % chance, so he could really punish villains with lots of attacks. Might make me think twice about cursing AP with him in my group.

Might make me think twice about cursing AP with him in my group. Some of Vraes' talents have been improved over the last few releases, but we aren't in a "major redo" mode here. It is art only. We aren't going to change Vraes' style -- one of his defining characteristics is selfish buffs, so he will not get a Flanking Unity competitor. Natural Mastery is eventually going to get an upgrade to dove-tail better with the new Strength rules, because it is a perfect place to give a special bonus and make Vraes unique in that way. Counter-attacks can't be added to Heroes of Steel at this point, just like Overwatch. Small after-thought adds like that won't help the game, as the entire design was built and concreted without it.

Yeah! Great to hear. About 50% of the story fixes I deployed worked in this release, so very happy to hear another positive one. It is very hard fixing story bugs from descriptions without being able to see the game saved state. Just have to try again!

Phew, so I finally worked my way through all the new content. At least, I think so. fallen announced 11 new dungeons, I counted: - 2 for the monastery - 3 for the weaver storyline - 3 for the otherworldly haven - 2 for getting to Freeport What am I missing?

krakun - a new variation of Crag Peak, depending on when you go there in the story. It is feasible to visit it now before it runs into the Fang trouble, when it has very interesting items for an early E2 player.

Or in other words, what should I avoid triggering to visit this new variation? Finishing the Underforge? Swearing allegiance to a faction?
