krakun - a new variation of Crag Peak, depending on when you go there in the story. It is feasible to visit it now before it runs into the Fang trouble, when it has very interesting items for an early E2 player. Ahhhh, duly noted. And what becomes the trigger for Fang? Or in other words, what should I avoid triggering to visit this new variation? Finishing the Underforge? Swearing allegiance to a faction? Swearing an allegiance to a faction, which is the official start point of E3. Therefore, any time during E2, you can visit.

I'm guessing most people do as I do, which is making a beeline for the ep3 basecamps, for their unbeatable equipment, and then go back to Ep2 to clean up. Since the Braeys storyline (Valent) is shorter and easier than the Koda storyline (Underforge), that means going into Braeys territory. But you've turned that upside down...

krakun - it can be an advantage, but you'd want to see the gear in Crag Peak before you call it that much of a game changer. I always like to go to Granthorn for the armor before really going after much of E2 content.

There is a fort or outpost that the Volpa invade when you start the fang quest. Will that outpost be accessible with its assumed shops and population?

We really need a list or something that highlights these things.

The outpost's shop and services won't he accessible during and after the Fang (they got rekted) if that is what you're wondering. Maybe in the future they can be reoccupied by the Koda force?

Sorry for the confusion:
BEFORE FANG, ... Crag Peak is a working dungeon map with a town in it that has shops and an inn and people. AFTER FANG, well, you know what happens.

I did not find crawling Frozen Caves and a road to Hunting Lodges any shorter than beating Underforge.

Raiders like us tend to explore THE ENTIRE temple, which is why it took longer for us

I forgot to mention that in order to be able to swear allegiance to Koda, in addition to finishing the Underforge, you also need to go visit the Druid Erghanna.

You just not linking caves+lodges+the entire crawl through the land together, else it is the same, if not more, to get to Braeys quest, comparing to Koda line that is just right there, under your… feet.
