The Koda quests are at least 30% longer than the Braeys quests. The Underforge takes about as long as the caves and the cabin together, probably a bit longer. Also, orcs gets really tough at level 27+ while the cultists remain about the same, if not easier because of the reasonably low level cap in the underforge.

The Underforge has more levels with high cap than the Orcin caves. But, each monster type has a different balance profile and a different set of scalers as to how they gain power over each level. Big Damage is part of the Orcin bloodline, so that definitely keeps stacking worse and worse In a count of map tiles, the Underforge is definitely larger, but both sections contain multiple maps that could be skipped (in entirety or at least majority).

It has been a long time since I ran through E2 doing the orcin side first and then the underforge (so things might have changed since then), but I remember when I did that I was hitting the level cap for pretty much all of the underforge and it was relatively easy. I don't recall exactly, but I think on nightmare enemies at the bottom level were around level 28/29, which was only 1 or 2 higher than my party.
Alternatively, I recently ran through E2 doing the underforge first and then the orcin caves and I did not hit the level cap at all for the later orcin levels (level 33 on brutal, making them much harder). The early orcin levels were capped and pretty easy though. The difficulty change in going from an uncapped level to a capped level was unexpected and resulted in some deaths!
