For both of my android devices (droid4 phone, and galaxy tablet 2), even with the auto-rotation setting for the device itself turned off, st4x will always rotate the screen. for strpg, the option to configure orientation manually in the game config solves this problem. However, with st4x I'm unable to play the game upside down. (don't ask, its not really important)
Can the app be updated to either check and honor the device settings for orientation, or to have a manual setting like strpg? I'm really enjoying the game, but playing upside down is a little bit challenging.

Like you can rotate between the two different landscape orientations? That is intentional.
Thanks for posting!!!

I know it auto-rotates, but there is a setting for auto-rotation on the devices, as they normally auto-rotate apps anyway. Except for st4x. This auto-rotates even though I don't want it to. strpg has an option to set orientation, and this disables the auto-rotate, so the game can be played upside down without the screen trying to flip around on me. I just want the same type of option for st4x. Either to be able to set it via an option in the game, or to have it honor the device settings for auto-rotate would work for me, but right now its very inconvenient to have auto-rotation forced. I've gotten better at reading the screen upside down, but I was hoping this would be a simple fix.

Well, I found another app that can fix the issue for me. Rotation Control, will let me lock the screen in landscape so st4x wont flip it around when my device is upside down. Anyway, thanks for looking into it.

Yeah I think this is just an issue of Android OS agreeing with the vast majority of the users. We definitely do our best to listen to everyone, but in this case we just had to listen to Google and follow their stated best practice.

Sorry, but f*** Google when it comes to their best experience, it has killed a lot of devs and will kill more
