If you get crashes on loading old games then uninstall is probably a safe bet.
My belief is that this one is compatible.

Current State of the Black Market - Not a competely implementation. - Trade Law and Legality of Cargo are treated normally atm. Obviously, that will change. - A service offered by Contacts (Smuggler). May be available with Greedy or Corrupt Merchants, Spice Traders, etc - Enables access to illegal trading houses. This is risky business, and each time your Contact helps you get this access, he or she is risking her neck a bit (loss of Influence, Rep potential) - Not all trading houses are the same -- you can get to a trading house of level 1-4. These are matched to the Permit 1-4 (Spice, Free, Full, Principal). What is available to buy or sell at the house is limited by the access level.
For example, I was playing a Pirate. I looted 15 units of Narcotic Spice off a Merchant I caught in a Blockade of a Rychart world. I don't have any Permits for this yet, so I headed to my Smuggler Contact on my nearby Javat Lux Pop. After playing the mini-game and using my Smuggler Talents (I have 2 Officers with the Job now), I got an Access 4 card, giving me access to an illegal trading house as if I had Permit of a Principal Trader. I only really needed Access 1, but 4 was good. The sky was the limit and I sold my Narcotic Spice for a nice profit.

Do we have to uninstall/wipe for this update? Should not have to. Fix Captain Crash when selecting talent, is this in v1.0.29? I'm thinking of starting clean anyway so testing/questions/bugs are not influenced by anything that maybe a left over artifact from v1.0.27.

John Robinson - I don't know the bug number. I assume it is fixed. You can refer to the original forum thread, either Cory Trese or I would have posted "Fixed for next" there.

I also went with a clean install since I was pretty much "done with" my previous captains anyway.
By the way, I've noticed that regular crew can now spawn with bonus Combat skills as well as Tactics and Repair. I like.

Thx, we fixed all the issue with badly overlapping skills (Pistoleers with Rifles) and expanded on the value of Skill pts for everyone to encourage exciting officer choices.
