@johnrobison has been making and publishing some amazing data tables. I've been following him around trying to convert them into fully data-driven versions on the WIKI. Here is the latest example: startraders.gamepedia.com/Contact_ServicesWe'd love to hear your ideas for types of data tables you'd like to see.

Settlement Supply/Demand ranges for each Cargo type Although I understand this might grow to be unmanageable once further cargo types are added... the table would be enormous!

Settlement Supply/Demand ranges for each Cargo type Although I understand this might grow to be unmanageable once further cargo types are added... the table would be enormous! When you make this, I want a column for the illegality level of the good. Though of course, where I really want this is in the game, especially at the 'buy' market screen, so I can stop loading up on goods that are very hard to find legal buyers for.

athios - thanks for the great suggestion. This table is on our list. Hope we can keep the suggestions on point about WIKI tables!

I know they aren't fully implemented yet, but you can add this to the list. At some point I'd like a table for Contact Traits, please.

I want a table for ship weapons that makes it easier to compare what various sorts of the same type do. Or different sorts that work at the same range. Right now I am just buying the biggest number there is for a weapon of the sort that I want, and I think this is a mistake. But right now making comparisons are hard, partly because I don't know what 'void damage' really is, and why I might prefer to give it rather than 'radiation damage' or something else, but also because you cannot compare things side by side. *I want to blast my enemies at range 4 -- what are my options* is rather hard to ask, right now.

Oh, on that topic, we need a table for crew combat weapons, especially since the accuracy values are currently hidden.

And I want a list of all the different Xeno Artifacts you can dig up, and what they are worth, with notes on whether any particular sort of settlement will pay more for each particular sort of artifact.

Add a grid view button to the current wiki ships listI'm betting 2 years from now there will be several hundred ships if not a thousand or more. The pictures are absolutely Beautiful and must never be discarded. Adding a grid view option/toggle at the top of the screen would be very useful with this Niagara falls of data. If you are a Netflix user they have this as an option so you don't have to scroll through all the color thumbnails of the movies, and the grid view provides sort options. Ascending, Descending Sort columns: If I wanted to see all the ships of the same price those would be listed together etc. I don't think all of these columns should be sort-able. The dice pools are not really necessary to sort, because if you want the ship that's what you get. Speed and Agility are one of the first things I'd be sorting on. Whatever you think works, works for me. Sample Grid View: Default display should be by Ship name in Alphabetical Order:Put a forward toggle in the the components column Ship | Cost | Mass | Hull | Speed | Agility | Fuel | Cost J/M/C | Cargo | Arm | Shlds | Officers | Crew | Pilot | Nav | Ops | Elect | Gun | Components | Paladin Cruiser | 260,000 | 4150/5000 | 1500 | 20 | 20 | 115 | 22/2/12 | 50 | 7 | 6 | 4/5 | 20/30 | 11 | 16 | 34 | 10 | 29 | toggle button | Juror Class |

Each ship has a toggle forward button or link to it's unique components list: Components forward toggl routes to this table for the Paladin Cruiser, and returns again to the ships table. When I left click on the components toggle I would like to see the Paladin's components listed by compartment size in alphabetical order. Followed by mass, and function. Size, Mass and Function: are automatic downloads of the descriptive information you see in the upgrade screen in a Starport. Leave off the Soak requirements, the Captain will be looking at these already when upgrading at the Starport. It's a waste of wiki screen space. I should note that on the Contacts page, the ads are blocking me from seeing the farthest column. Is there a way around this?

fallen Template for table I would like to see; An alternative to figuring out how to display job skills side by side for a wiki table. Simple now that the primary/secondary skill concept has been dropped. Display all Jobs not just Captains. This would be helpful if I was trying to decide how heavy I wanted to go on etechs or pilots etc. Each Skill(1,2,3) column should be sort-able. For example I hit the sort arrow for Bounty Hunter's skill 1 "Rifles", I would expect to see any other jobs using rifles listed. (Soldier) It would also be simple to add new jobs like "Sniper" when implemented. Each entry lists the 3 skills the job uses not the entire list. I'm building a small table right now , limited to the job types I'm going to use in a new team build. Job | Skill 1 | Skill 2 | Skill 3 | Bounty Hunter | Rifles | Evasion | Navigation | Commander | Tactics | Intimidation | Command | Crew Dog | Ship Ops | Gunnery | Repair | Diplomat |
|
|
| Doctor |
|
|
| Electronics Tech | Electronics | Gunnery |
| Explorer | Electronics | Tactics | Explore | Merchant | Negotiation | Tactics | Command | Mechanic | Ship Ops | Electronics | Repair | Military Officer | Pistols | Tactics | Command | Pirate | Evasion | Pilot | Intimidation | Smuggler | Navigation | Negotiation | Electronics | Sniper |
|
|
| Spy | Pistols | Electronics | Stealth | Star Trader | Navigation | Pilot | Ship Ops |

Thank You, energizer bunny. P.S. Love the way you got rid of the advertisement truncating the skills table.
