I would like to ask the Templar high command that we are developing fighters only for now or their weapon improvements also ? Has that been decided up on ?

Significant event log: 3.6 AE Spy War begins between Moklumnue and Cadar over lingering suspicion and resentment. 3.13 AE Spy War between Javat and Cadar begins, but the Templar cannot determine their motivations. 3.29 AE Javat becomes strangely adamant that Javatian metals not be sold to Cadar, so Javat initiates a Trade Embargo with Cadar, ending the Spy War. 3.38 AE A Nyktos World Killer has been spotted approaching Cadarian space! 3.40 AE Void of Batina losses population and quality in a Nyktos raid. 3.41 AE Star traders report reduced Nyktos and Sidtax activity. The Nyktos World Killer breaks off its attack on Void of Batina and attempts to flee to the West, but is chased down and destroyed by the Templar Defender Stalwart. 3.43 AE Star traders report reduced Bolish activity. 3.46 AE Cadar Prime finishes construction of a Sawtooth-class fighter, a ship designed for rapid interception. 3.47 AE Javat and Cadar renew their Trade Embargo, while diplomatic efforts to end it fail. end log I would like to ask the Templar high command that we are developing fighters only for now or their weapon improvements also ? Has that been decided up on ? I am not sure what it is you are asking specifically. We have researched Fighters 3 and constructed a fighter using the best available technology from that research, as was Brutus' proposal. //OOC I'll give the real update in an hour or two. As you can guess from the politics, things aren't going very well for the economy. There is still hope, of course, but extreme actions may have to be considered.

One of the benefits to mining is having nice big tunnels to use afterwards. They make great storage and emergency shelters. To anyone that would like to lease or purchase a former Javatian mine, please contact our sister company Vault-Tec. Galactic space comm channel 69-69-69-xxx, ask for Pip.

We are under some sigificant issues with Javat. It would be wise to end hostility on all fronts as soon as possible. And yes that is what i asked about. Thank you for relaying the information about our current military advancement.

Delegates, we face a crisis. There is no other way to speak of it. Our economies are crippled by politics while the xeno are at our door. Demolishing our newly-built fighter as well as the Templar Explorer could give us some credits to work with, as well as lowing maintenance costs. If you think such a drastic move is worth doing, vote for it. Xeno StatusTwo Sidtax xeno worlds are located at the South end of the Shimmering Belt. It is likely that the Nyktos lie to the Northwest of the Core Regions, because that is where their ships seem to be coming from. The Sidtax are level 16, and have 19 worlds. The Nyktos are level 18, and have 24 worlds. The Bolish are level 12, and have a mere 5 worlds. It is likely the Bolish are boxed in by the other Xenos, and are unable to expand. Colony StatusFirst four colonies: Second four colonies: MilitaryWe currently have one Templar Defender near Javat's frontier worlds to guard against a Sidtax incursion, one Templar Defender in Cadar space to defend from the Nyktos, and one Cadarian interception fighter designed for fast movement and accurate weaponry. This is the fighter we have constructed: TechnologyPlanetary Defense 2 is currently being researched so that we could have military infrastructure to defend from world killers, as soon it is economically practical to construct such. It has come time for a new technology plan. Known technologies: Politics and EconomyWe are in a hole here. There is no money in the treasury, and last week brought an income of $0. At least we are not in the negative. There is a Trade Sanctions treaty in progress that will be complete in 17 turns. //OOC Maybe we should've been playing on Crazy instead if Impossible, considering most of us probably haven't much ST4X for a long time since ST2 testing began. Perhaps we are a little out of practice. Despite poor current conditions, I judge it is still possible to turn this around.

The situation is dire, gentlemen. If our economy is this bad, there's little hope of recovery without fixing these unfavorable Faction politics. It could prove necessary to demolish a fighter for last resort credits, but I'm not sure if this is the right course of action with the threat of a Xeno invasion.

I agree, that fighter should be salvaged. Consul, if I may, I suggest crafting cheaper fighters with lower maintenance. We need fast response fighters to assist the Templar vessels for now, not full warships.

If we're simply stalling for time, then Fighters should be fitted with modest armor, decent weapons, (both as economical as possible) and focus on Evasion, Counterattack, and Repair. Don't need to spend money on upkeep if we never get hit.
We have several talented pilots ready to take to the stars, they simply need a vessel in which to do it.

I myself am not a big fan of recycling ships just cause the wallet is being pinched. I also don't like getting rid of a ship just because it's old and outdated. A 50 cal black powder round properly aimed will still do just as much if not more damage than a 5.56 and even those are getting old now. I won't be a stick in the mud, if the majority decides to scrap a ship or two then fine. Long as I still have a mine to dig in, I'm good.

I'd recommend not decommissioning any ships, we're likely gonna need everyone we got. If we do get forced into the xenos, I would rather we fought them in the shimmering belt. If we had the money I'd advise setting up a fortress world to engage them over but as things stand our colonies can make do. As for the economy, I'll back whatever my fellow Javat Councillor ntsheep thinks is best since I'm a bit stumped on how to proceed

Currently it would be best to deconstruct atleast 1 ship so that we are in the + no matter how little. It's going to be very difficult to climb out of this without atleast 1 scarifice.

We can continue to research and purchase treaty work while the economy is in recession. We can make progress, but we must resolve these political gridlocks
