Thread for faction-specific special rules suggestions, like how Moklumnue pays +15% when selling them goods manufactured on other Moklumnue worlds.
Cadar Starport Upgrade Discount:
1*(MilitaryRank)% price and time discount for 'weapons', 'combat', or 'ship' category upgrades at Cadar starports, as Cadar prioritizes the combat readiness of their navy.

Excited to be dropping a big set of these with this release!

I don't know if you already have new faction special rules set in stone for next release, but I'll suggest some more. De Valtos: Importing the finest wares, +10% profit for goods requiring a trade permit (compared to Moklumnue's bonus, this would apply to goods from any faction, and can stack on top of the 25% cross-faction import bonus, and applies to both manufactured and unrefined goods as long as they require permits)
Alta Mesa: With a large supply of ships, new ship prices are discounted by (Military Rank)%

Definitely dig the De Valtos rules about permits.
No additional bonuses in the game can reduce ship prices.

Remember in Templar Battleforce when the Righteous Fallen went to Moklumnue Prime instead of Rychart Prime to repair after the opening xeno battle? I believe Major Luthor said it was because Moklumnue has more experience with ship construction and repair.
New Moklumnue rule suggestion: Repairs are available on every urban zone regardless of starport level, and take 10% less time to complete (compared to Thulun's repair bonus, this is only 10% instead of 20% to balance the advantage of availability of repairs in every zone)

It seems like having a rule to make a faction weaker, coupled with a really strong rule, might be interesting.

It seems like having a rule to make a faction weaker, coupled with a really strong rule, might be interesting. I guess Steel Song bounty hunters never accepting bribes arguably makes them "weaker" since it makes it slightly harder to start as a smuggler or explorer in a Steel Song quadrant.

I have an idea for this but it requires that you tell me what Iridlaentine is. (Other than just a RTG.)

This definition was penned at the time of the original ST RPG ("is no longer produced" would be replaced with "is extremely hard to mine and refine" in STF timeline).
Iridlaentine is an extremely rare metal that was mined in the Galactic Core centuries ago. This crystalline metalallic element mined from the surface of certain stars. This mining was performed by Star Traders, using Leviathan Suits for their original purpose. The refinement of Iridlaentine into a usable form requires a star forge, and following the Exodus it is no longer produced. The Templar Knights have a limited supply that they use carefully when the need arises.

Kambrinite and Ferrochromium Alloy require one permit level less to purchase from Javat (spice trader only). Iridlaentine can be sold to Javat with only a Spice Trader's permit.
The idea being here that they have tons of ore to sell, and want to encourage a steady outflow of it, even to the point of loosening the permit requirements for its purchase. They may also have more incentive than most to acquire Iridlaentine, as they are some of the most capable at working the metal.

Here's a small one: Rychart holdings guard their secrets better than most, but tend to have more valuable secrets to steal. (Only for Spying, Spying ops on Rychart worlds have an effective bonus of +3 Government, increasing both risks and rewards.)

Here's a minor one: Rychart combines espionage with military rank quite well; Gain +4% credits for intel sold per military rank.

Here's one for Alta Mesa:
Alta Mesa Pilot and Engineer Recruits always have +1 level per 5 military ranks, and start with an additional +1 bonus skill in Pilot/Repair at rank 7.
