Ok, next set of questions hehe. When I confront someone and all it says is "We'll never forget what you did for us that night" what does this do exactly? I notice no changes when this happens. Also, when I win a fight, what does the Intimidate option do? I've never had anything happen from pressing it. My last question is, when I find a file I already have and I load it up, it says I've learned something new from reviewing it again, yet I see no changes in the document itself. Am I just missing something here?

I can tackle some of these.
1. They give you a small number of credits. I had to ask about this myself as the amount is small enough that it didn't show up on my main screen. But apparently if you looks more closely at your credits they give you a small amount of them.
2. The Intimidate button can reduce the heat you get from an encounter, depending on your intimidation skill. If you choose the button and intimidate the people around you into not being witnesses you can't stealth away from the encounter. Intimidate is mostly good for those times that you've looted a body of stuff.
3. I have no answer on this. I think it's just color-text.

Soon, they will give you enough credits that it changes the UI at least by a .X

Awesome, thanks for the quick responses! You guys are as helpful as ever. So if I already plan on looting the corpses, it's a good idea to intimidate as well if I wish to keep my heat a little lower. Good to know considering that on my new GunSlinger I've been killing everyone I run into from AzTek, Knight Horizon, Los V, and Streets. Hehe, decided to go with them as my enemies. I was gonna go Los V as an ally until I read the faction descriptions. And since I'm Irish, I decided to go with Fennian instead. Hehe

I think you get a tiny boost in experience when reading a document for a second time teaches you something new. And I think when somebody says 'we will never forget you' they might give you something other than credits -- a v-chip with data on it, maybe. I'm not sure if intimidating makes the heat *worse* if you fail at it than if you hadn't tried, I may have just assumed that. Cory? Fallen?

I got kind of fond of the Nameless One from Planescape: Torment by Black Isle. (and he was an unnatural freak who was immortal) -abs Admittedly. But at least he was trying to remedy that, cos it got on his nerves as well

I recently started a new game on Hard Mode and I was just wondering if there was any place to find McFly's V-Chip without having to find it in a random encounter.

McFly is the only Taxi driver I do know how to get the v-chip for. (Though I hear rumors Cava Saint may give you King's v-chip eventually)
McFly's brother runs the E-Street Pharmacy in Southie. He likes nuYen. See if you can offer him some in return for the v-chip..... ("Yes, of course you can.")

I still love that game. I'm a huge, HUGE, role-playing geek (I play an average of 2.5 nights a week, various systems). Torment introduced me to the Planescape environment. That might have been good, or bad, depending on how one views things. On the bad side I had to spend a bunch of money on eBay because I'm a completionist and my collection of Planescape material wasn't complete. (It's complete now, has been for many years now in fact) On the good side I found a setting that has dominated my thoughts and games for years now. Not every d&d game I run is Planescape, but they're all influenced by it. So I'm afraid the Nameless One has a place of honor in my head. He's hard to get away from. Frankly, if planescape was set to tech instead of magic he'd be one hell of a Cyberknight in the NSZ! (New Sigil Zone) (Shadowrun in Sigil FTW! btw.) -abs Er... theoretically, Sigil connects to any world you want, doesn't it? You just need the correct key. Like how a boy was transported to a candy-cane world by accidentally running into a weeping willow tree while eating some candy floss. And like how a prison convict was introduced to a world of hurt when he dropped his soap on the communal bathroom floor...
