I can't remember either. But I have a personal motto: Desperation breeds Innovation. Also, we will have to remember that most of our modern everyday products were based on stuff created for warfare. The Internet was born out from the need to disseminate information to all concerned parties without the need of lengthy telegrams and securing of telephone line. Plastics and cellphones are all created for the purpose of war. The problem is that the last WW had Einstein. And a weapon to actually end ALL wars was invented. That said, even that weapon have proved invaluable as a source of alternate and cheap energy.

Einstein was pissed that his findings: E=MC² were used for destruction.
It bothered him greatly.

I'd be too, if MY inventions were used for creation. Anyway, Leonarda da Vinci was pissed that HIS were also used for destruction as well. But I believe everything is a double-edged sword. It could kill but it could heal.

Agreed. Leave it to Sheeple to spin anything into evil, hurtful, controlling, or destructive practices.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
At least Da Vinci had his last word. He altered so much of what he was commissioned to do, changing the original intent and influence for some of his greatest works. He was a chameleon, outcast, but most important: Free-thinker and trendsetter.
We owe ourselves to these and a great many more people throughout history who chose to take risks

Aye to that! Facing possibilities of excommunication, ostracization, poverty and even death, there's no stopping them. Streaking on the streets yelling some obscure word is an unnecessary outburst, though.
