Also new artwork - piles of garbage look a lot better now. I think the ganger matrix terminals are new, as well.

Sounds like we have some bugs with the new CK -- ability to equip invalid weapons, ability to get her to melee with a target. Looks like 0.7.3 is coming soon

grävling - yep, all the art for trashbags and slum terminals (how glamorous) have been updated in this release. I am slowly but surely touring the art files for the maps and making improvements. Hope you like them!

I like the trashbags and the terminals.
I also like that the button in combat is now 'evade' rather than 'dodge' , but, Cory as you explained things in another thread, I think that it is the armour that should be given an evade bonus, and dodging be the one you do in combat, because camo helps you evade enemy fire, not dodge it. And unless you want to put people in Rachel Monsour's suit, it looks like the suit's superior ability is a passive, not an active one. Dodging is much more active than evading.

Not sure I follow. We will wait to see what feedback comes in about the button change.
There are only so many words and the numbers have to do some of the talking.

If I am following you correctly, then none of the armour out there helps you dodge at all. A dodge-helping armour would have AI in it, that detected when you were about to be hit, and would actively move you in ways that would make you dodge the blows. I don't think we have any armours that do that.
Instead what we have is armour that camoflauges you well, and makes you blend into the background, and makes it hard for enemies to target you and hit you. This is all part of evasion, but not part of dodging. So this is why I think the terms should be swapped. We will see what other people think.

Well OK, lets discuss.
The original design indicates:
* Heavy armor will include a penalty to your active defensive capability. * This penalty would be based on the armor's bulk and weight. * High Dexterity can offset this penalty but it always applies
...
During implementation of the design high end armor was added that began to include not only negative "Active Defense" scores but also positive ones.
The original design does not sufficiently explain the existence of the positive "Active Defense" values for armor.
What you have seen here on the forum is me thrashing about trying to find a bridge between my world view of CK, the design and the current +4 Dodge armors.
I changed long range defense to use Stealth as a balancing move, but in the end it may have been a bad idea without having resolved the core design question: "What is positive Armor Dodge?"

Well, you haven't answered the question then.
What we have now is a hybrid scheme. -X armour has -X as a dexterity penalty.
But +X armour has what? a Stealth bonus?
The two things, thus are not mutally exclusive. So they should not be expressed on the same scale. Clearly it is harder to be stealthy if you are carrying a heavy inflexible cage around you, so that things that are bad for dex are generally bad for stealth as well. But the reverse is not true -- you can have great camo, which is great for stealth, but won't make you any more dextrous. And military grade combat armour can be expected to be hard, thus incurring a dex penalty, but with military AI camo, so giving you a stealth *bonus*.
They don't fit on one scale, so that is where the problem lies.

Andrew - your new arts are great one more thing - Raptor III has image of revolver - but other Aztec's revolvers (with revolver in name) still have image of semiautomatic pistols - maybe they also need to change image?

Nope, they are correct. Don't expect the mega-corporations of 2217 to have any respect for the English language. Marketing won over linguistics a long, long time ago.

if you say so... but hard to believe it I will change the one image that is actually a revolver. If you read the descriptions and brand text about that gun and it's manufacturer, you'll see it talks about a power-clip eject and magazine loading times. Therefore, I'm changing the one other "Revolver" icon to show the hand cannon and updating the other items to be called "Neuvolvers"
